Idk about a banner Rollie, but I'll tell you, that Nets trade could end up being one of the most lopsided, ridiculous trades ever pulled off in the history of the league.
For a 38 year old, shell-of-his-former self KG, a 36 year old Paul Pierce who had about 3 or 4 years of 20-25mpg of really good (not superstar) level basketball left in him, and an equally old, by that point nearly washed up Jason Terry we've received:
Isaiah Thomas, Tyler Zeller, James Young, David Lee, plus Dwight Powell (who was used in the Rondo trade for Crowder, picks) and the Nets unprotected 2016 and 2018 1st round picks with the right to swap 1st rounders in 2017. That 2016 pick seems pretty sure to be at least in the top-10, with a real good chance at it being in the TOP 3-5. Still early for the 2017 and 18 picks but you can't imagine they're out of the top 20 no matter what they do.
It's truly amazing. We turned the last years of our aging core into a plethora of assets worth 10 times what we gave for it. If even one of those future picks lands us in the top 3-5 picks, or any of the picks we get become a star/get traded for a star that makes us contenders, it will go down as one of the most insane trades ever accomplished. It's Ainge's Auerbachian moment.
