Olynyk last night...

19 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block in 26 minutes.

My favorite quote of the night....

"Kelly Olynyk is Larry Bird." - The Washington announcers

By extension of hyperbole there were a couple of stretches where the team was the '86 Celtics last night!

And Washington played like the '62 Mets.

He has stunk until last night. can't wait to read the post how we are finals bound.   Still we needed this win as a team to get out of our funk.   Hopefully, we can maintain it.

Games like last night are why I can't give up on Olynyk.  He looks like hot garbage when he's down, but then he'll have a game - or a stretch of a week or two - where he's flying all over the place and looking like the best player on the court.

It's not realistic to consistently play as well as last night, but I really wish he could smooth out the valleys in his game a little bit, like Rondo learned to do early in his career.  But even when he looks like hot garbage, the advanced stats always say he's contributing, which helps.  I noticed before he even started making plays last night that IT had a much easier path to the rim with Washington sending a big out to respect KO's shot.

The thing is even when Olynyk looks like hot garbage by missing all his 3's, the spacing he provides allows the Celtics offense to be better than what it would without him. There is a reason he almost always has a positive plus minus even when he can't hit a shot.

I loved how aggressive he has been shooting 3's this year even if he hasn't hit them at a high percentage. If he continues to take them when they are open he is going to have his best year.

I prefer the man bun but his best game so far came with the flow, so he should keep the elf look.

haha. honestly I given up.  Just as long as he is not touching his hair so much that could hamper his vision

Maybe the hair helps him keep balance.  Maybe nobody can explain how it helps. But if it does, just leave it

His inconsistency is probably going to keep him from ever being a starter but he's so skilled and so smart he's going to be a valuable role player for a champion. Hopefully a Boston champion.

the one thing I can't get over with this guy is that he either forgets or doesn't realize he's a 7 footer. the shots he passes up because he's afraid to get rejected tend to lead to a forced contested shot by another player just because KO doesn't want to be the one to look bad.

what's worse is when he won't take the shot when a 2 has to pick him up. I think this is the one thing KO should focus on improving because it's the most fixable thing.

I think you just need to let him be. If you try to force him too much, the other valuable parts of his game will be gone. Like the passing

sure he makes an extra pass or two unnecessarily but also at other times will help you create easy buckets.

Yesterdays game was perfect and on balance with what he can provide.  KO stats last night is more valuable than him torching 30 pts with little else

He can play .....same Jeff Green ......if the mood hits him .

I really hate as fan to watch guys like this .   Gifts and can't bring it like Pierce and Kobe.

Chemistry in his brain is not right to be a leader or take over a game.

I see leadership in Smart , Crowder , and Rozier .

Sully maybe be growing up mentally ......he seemed to enjoy being a hero and wants guys to,look up to him.

Kelly can do so much more ,  he lets small guys cover him.   When he should take the pass and in the same instant slam it through the basket .....like Bass did.   KO .....hesitates to long under the bucket .
KO could learn ALOT from Sully and Mickey on rebounding and how to play in the paint.

There is no reason for him to,play so soft under the rim.
