Yesterday it really stood out to me . Whenever someone posts him up , KO leans on them with his upper body while his legs are so far back . He has no center of gravity and leaning on them like that basically lets anyone posting up do whatever they want in the post . It is so awkward and doesn't allow KO to challenge them if they simply do a counter move or an up fake . He is completely off balance .

He better start working on lower body strength .

Anyone else notice this ?

According to the "advanced Stats" he's the best defensive player on the team.  I believe he was last season too.  It's not pretty but it's effective.  He has the best defensive rating on the team, the best scoring differential and the best plus minus.

I actually thought Kelly had a really good defensive game last night.  At one point I counted his guy was 1 for 5 when shooting on him.  Plus he was rebounding.  I really think Kelly needs to start (with Amir) and play 30 plus minutes if this team wants to win.

P.S. I used quotes on Advanced Stats because I am not sure I believe in all the new stats in sports.  I definitely don't in baseball.

Meh, his defense has improved leaps and bounds from year 1 to year 2 to now year 3. The Celtics rave about his work ethic in terms of building strength also, so I'm not too worried about him eventually becoming good enough on that end of the floor considering the improvement he has shown year to year. In fact, if he keeps up his defense from the last three games, he will have had finally "passed" my eye test on the defensive end despite him grading out as a positive on the defensive end in most advanced metrics since his rookie year. I saw several very good defensive plays last night from KO. It's really encouraging.

He's definitely not good against the post-up, although he puts up a better fight than Lee or Zeller do.
