Bradley is a horrible ball handler and passer . He had one nice dunk, but is a fumbling bumbling mess when he is forced to put the ball on the floor . Backup SG .
That was a horrible turnover late in the game when he drove the lane and just threw the ball to the spurs , when a man was wide open in the corner . He sucks at handling the ball
Oh I disagree. I think AB's handles have improved a lot. He had one turnover down the stretch, but he has improved a lot with his handle in the last couple of years. I even saw him do a decent crossover today.
Again, he is one of the worst ball handlers/ passers in the league for a guard . Not sure what you are watching ?
I am watching some improved ball handling by AB. I never said he was the best ball handler in the world. I said he has improved. Nitpicking the (1) I repeat (1) turnover he had today isn't really giving him a fair shake. If he plays within himself I can live with (1) turnover.
Don't bother - it's just a typical response from the constant sea of pointless Bradley haters that always pop up on this forum.
1) It's the same group of people who complain that Bradley can't dribble/pass without turning the ball over, even though he is one of our highest usage players and yet also has had one of the lowerst turnover rates on the team for the past 3 or so years
2) It's the same group of people who constantly complain that Bradly is a medicore shooter, even though he has shot between 35% and 40% on 3PT in three in three of his past four seasons
3) It's the same group of people who will try cry about us not Bradley not being a great scorer, then cry when we don't get guys like Aaron Afflafo and Tobias Harris (who are no better as scorers than Bradley is)
4) It's the same group of guys who will constantly try to tell you that Bradley is no longer a good defensive player, even though he ranked 13th at his position in DRPM last year and 6th in the previous year, and is generally perceived around the league as one of the NBA's top perimeter defenders.
5) It's the same group of guys who will complain about Bradley taking too many long two's, even though (at 43% for his career) his been one of the better shooters in the league on those shots
By this point you just have to give up and accept the fact that some people have a completely irrational bias / hatred against Avery Bradley for some completely unknown reason, and that they will always think of things to diss him about.
First it was "AB can't shoot" - then he shot 40% from three twice in three seasons, so that died down.
Then it was "AB can't stay healthy". Then he played 86% of his possible games over the past two seasons, so that died down.
Then it was that he doesn't score enough - then he stepped up as one of our top 3 scoring options for the past 2 seasons, so that died down.
Then it was "AB can't be a starter on a playoff team" - then we made the playoffs AGAIN with Bradley as our starting SG.
Then it was that his defense has regressed - so far this season he's been playing beastly defense.
Any attempts to try get AB some appreciation for what he does, is completely and utterly wasted on this forum. It doesn't matter what he does to improve his game, unless Bradley becomes a 20//5/5 All-Star
and makes the all defensive first team in the same season, he's never going to get the appreciation he deserves.
As the saying goes, "Haters gonna hate".
