When reading Jeff's post yesterday about giving the team 15 games before making judgments and drawing conclusions, I realized what a tough opening stretch the first 15 games are.

What are people's thoughts about the C's record after 15 games?

Oct 29.   Philadelphia WIN
Oct 31.   Toronto.        LOSS
Nov. 1   San Antonio
Nov. 4   at Indiana
Nov. 6   Washington
Nov. 10   at Milwaukee
Nov. 11   Indiana
Nov. 13   Atlanta
Nov. 15   at Oklahoma City
Nov. 16   at Houston
Nov. 18   Dallas
Nov. 20   Brooklyn
Nov. 22   at Brooklyn
Nov. 24   at Atlanta
Nov. 25   Philadelphia

In fact, the first 10 games of the season are brutal, until things lighten up w Brooklyn x2 and Philly again.

Personally, I'd be thrilled to come out of this stretch at 8-7, but think 6-9 is more likely, and could see some real stumbles early, like a 3-7 start.

Other people's predictions??

I think 8-7 is doable. We have a few really tough games but I can see us winning 3 or 4 straight

Oct 29.   Philadelphia WIN
Oct 31.   Toronto.        LOSS
Nov. 1   San Antonio Loss
Nov. 4   at Indiana  Win
Nov. 6   Washington Win
Nov. 10   at Milwaukee Loss
Nov. 11   Indiana Win
Nov. 13   Atlanta Loss
Nov. 15   at Oklahoma City Loss
Nov. 16   at Houston Loss
Nov. 18   Dallas Win
Nov. 20   Brooklyn Win
Nov. 22   at Brooklyn Win

This is my prediction. I think 8-7 is definitely doable. I can also see it swinging as high as 10-5 or as low as 6-9.

I see three opponents we should lose to -  OKC, San Antonio, and Houston.

We should beat Brooklyn twice and Philly once.

Call that 3-3.

The rest of the games are hard to predict.  Atlanta, Milwaukee, Washington, Dallas, Indiana. Those are teams the Celts can beat but could easily get blown out, too.

Schedule skews toward home, though, so I'd guess that the Celts will win more than they lose. So 8 - 7 sounds right.

6-9...I don't think that we're sneaking up on anyone this year....also, I see Indiana and Milwaukee playing much better than they are now

Our team is easy to like and fun to watch and the long-term future is bright, just not the immediate present.

that Indy game could very well be a loss so 5-10 isn't a stretch.  have to see them play the games though.  I would be surprised if they don't sneak up on a couple of those teams and steal 2 games they should lose

I agree.

7-8 to 5-10 seems like a reasonable range.

I think that the Celtics just aren't good enough to deal with increased expectations at this stage in their development, Being favourite at home won't sit well with them to start the season, I look for them to be road warriors this season and post a 18-23 to 21-20 record on the road.Somewhere around 27-14 to 25-16 record at home.
I see them going 4-2 on the road and 5-4 at home over the first 15 games for a 9-6 record.

6-9.

I'm not optimistic at all.

Zeller sucks

Lee Sucks

AB so inconsistent on offense

KO ..no defense .....soft

Just looks really bad

I guess keeping Turner would help get a better lottery pick

Oct 29.   Philadelphia WIN
Oct 31.   Toronto.        LOSS
Nov. 1   San Antonio Loss
Nov. 4   at Indiana Win
Nov. 6   Washington 50-50
Nov. 10   at Milwaukee 50-50
Nov. 11   Indiana Win
Nov. 13   Atlanta 50-50
Nov. 15   at Oklahoma City Loss
Nov. 16   at Houston Loss
Nov. 18   Dallas Win
Nov. 20   Brooklyn Win
Nov. 22   at Brooklyn Win
Nov. 24   at Atlanta Loss
Nov. 25   Philadelphia Win

So that is 7 wins, 5 losses and three 50-50s (2-1, 1-2). So 8-9 wins against 6-7 losses.

I am going to go for 9 wins as my guess.

I might adjust my expectations down to 6 or 7 based on the fact that it looks like the Celts are gonna take some time to figure out how to make their lineups work.  Team looks much rougher and sloppier than you'd expect for a team that only added two significant rotation pieces in the off-season.

4-11 would be my guess. I don't think this years team has the chemistry to over achieve.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into.
