Isaiah Thomas is currently averaging 26 points 7 assists. Just saying if that were to hold up, sounds like star numbers to me

IT is a farce as well. a star is able to get his own shot. IT struggled to be able to do that in the playoffs last yr. and from what I've seen it seems the reg. season too.

Blowing past three dudes for an easy lay-up isn't creating your own shot?

Averaging 25 points a game isn't a farce no matter what you wanna say, that dude is an absolute dynamo scorer.

Our second unit is better than our first.
This may be because Danny plans to trade the first unit and wants to showcase them.

This is true but only part true.  He would trade the second unit too.  I would trade Lee, Zeller, Turner, and even Thomas (for the right deal, not just for the sake of trading).  The younger players as well but somewhat less likely.  I can't think of anyone on this team that they would not trade as part of a good deal.  And that is the way it should be.

I'm actually hoping the above is true.

Without IT, this team is a lottery team with some nice defenders on it. The Celtics should be developing players, if it weren't for the soft teams in the East, thats what we would be doing.

I getting tired of waiting for Bradley to develop some kind of consistency. I'm tired of pretending Zeller is anything more than a soft career backup center. Lee looks like he's past it, why are we starting him? He's not going to be signed under any circumstances. Let's not get into a Turner discussion.

So, for a minute, lets pretend the East is as strong as the West, what would we be doing? Let Sully be Sully, his best game is laying that big body on the opposing teams centers, yes, the talented one's will score over him, at least they won't be 3 feet from the basket. Maybe he'll actually play himself into condition, and grow. Offensively he scores, rebounds, and passes pretty darn well, and he's young.

Amir is a guy that should be getting 30 minutes a game, the guy is solid everywhere.

Play Kelly, he looks like he's ready to contribute.

Shorten the rotations, and develop Crowder, RJ, Rozier, Mickey, Smart, and stop this hopeful grind to the playoffs.

So after one loss everyone is losing it?

Thomas? The Celtics only scorer, who had back to back 25 plus point games is a farce? I know you don't like what the Celtics are doing, but let's not go to the point where we're just becoming overly negative.

So you want CBS to both shorten the rotations and play more guys?

It's hard for me to be too upset with the loss becasue there were a lot of good things and Toronto just seemed to hit a lot of shots and we went cold. Aside from too many passes that got stolen, I don't think anyone really made bad decisions for us. We didn't lose the game in as much as they won it, so I can live with that.

We need to find out how to get some scoring at the 4 and 5.

I'm shocked that we didn't win last night, but I'm not jumping ship after two games.

We're still winning more games this season than losing.

As far as Stars? We'll get them soon enough. I strongly believe we have the potential for at least 1 (Smart) among us.

Other stars will come soon enough.

We'll shoot better as a team and limit our turnovers from here on out. We'll be ok.

Don't panic just yet, enjoy the process :)

You didn´t even watch the game did you? Thomas made the defenders look silly many times with that hesitation move. Just like last game and just like last season.

I think it's because for the first time since, well, April, basically, that a lot of people are getting reminded that this team, though scrappy and fun, isn't actually very good.

It's a deep, hard-working, well-coached team of mostly likable guys, but they're still gonna look hopelessly outgunned sometimes against opponents with multiple All-Star caliber talents.

Gotta go with sahara, here, Isiah Thomas creates for himself all the time and is obviously the best on the team at doing so.

Did you just say that someone scoring off of a pick-and-roll doesn't count because they "had the help of a pick"?

Scoring off of a pick-and-roll: If it were easy, everyone would do it.

we need a star. preferably at SG or SF. but i'll take any position.

this "we're going to outwork teams" crap is just a sales pitch to keep people interested and based on nothing. we have a bunch of guys that would be a nice piece on a contender but as a collective they amount to nothing.

i'll end this post on a positive note though so I don't get accused of "overreacting to 2 games". this is a 500 team that's got a chance at the playoffs because it's the east.

Everyone is keenly aware this team needs a star.  It's filled with mediocre redundancies.  Nobody from the team is selling the idea that we are going to simply outwork teams.   Ainge knows we need a star.  Brad knows we need a star.  Everyone covering the team knows we need a star.

As-is it looks like we should win about 45 games.  Maybe less.  We could threaten to win 50 if everything clicks.  But this team should be out in the first or second round of the playoffs.

We are an interesting trade partner, though... And if Brooklyn is truly as bad as everyone hopes, things could get very interesting for us.
