  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Good sign. Keep chuggin away big fella.
Maybe coming off the bench is what he needs for some extra motivation....
I just hope they're doing something about his diet more than anything.
Go Sully.

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

It doesnt matter. He gets plenty of exercise. The only way he really gets where everyone wants him is to overhaul his diet and lifestyle.   He needs a transformation really.

Son, we play on a court that has lanes, and those lanes have to be guarded by men with butts. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Mr. Macho? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for Wally Szczerbiak, and you curse Jared Sullinger. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Sully's butt, while massive, probably saves rebounds. And his physique, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, wins games. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want his butt in that lane, you need his butt in that lane.

Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Vocal Sulley critic here but that slow break he ran the other night was dang impressive. Pretty hard to stop since he's got sure hands, and good enough handles that he's not going to be stripped or dribble off his knees and it allows the point/combo guards on the roster to run out ahead on the break.

Reminded me of big Chuck Barkley. If Sully outplays Lee I'll come away impressed not mad.

Okay, so this may be a stupid question, but is it possible that people may have a certain "body type"? I am seriously asking if that's possible. I know myself, I run a fair amount, do some weights, eat pretty well, etc, But I still always have a spare tire around the middle.
It seems he put in a lot of time this off season training, yet he does not look like it.

If we saw the best Sully 90% of the time instead of 50% of the time, he would no doubt be a starter.

I'll go one step farther and say your sentence is 3 letters too long - if we saw the best of Sully 90% of the time he'd be a star.  Unfortunately that doesn't seem too likely, but getting closer to that would be pretty sweet too.

Yes absolutely. When Sully says that he has to work hard at his diet and is still overweight and other guys chow down on snickers bars and look great, he's not lying. But I don't think he is as fit as he can be even given his genes, and it absolutely impacts how good he is and how often he can play.

Whatever you're doing, Big Fella - just keep doing it.

It was Sully's behind that kept Jalil Okafor from probably going for 50 the other night - according to Chris Forsberg's article.

I'll post it again if anyone wants to see it.

Jared Sullinger has a lot to prove and has started off on the right foot this season, IMO.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism

Some people need to work harder than other to have a physically (and aesthetically) nice body, but anybody can have ripped abs with enough training and true dietary discipline. Most people just don't have the time or energy.

Sully, though - this should be his whole life. Hopefully he is finally taking it seriously.
