I hope he never loses his big butt.
It's the source of all of his power.
yeah well if he tells you to rub it to make the powerful genie appear -- don't do it!!  that green fog coming out does not become Barbara Eden.     :P

I'm very interested to see how minutes change with KO eligible to play again.

I think it is Zeller who should lose minutes although he only played 11 min on Wednesday.  Then reduce Lee's minutes.  That should free up plenty for Olynyk.

Unfortunately, Jerebko ends up odd may out and should probably play more than he will.

Sullinger is good.  He is going to play and should play and don't forget that he is going to continue to improve for what, the next 4 to 5 years?

Somewhere on here I put a sample of minutes, I think I had the 5 bigs (lee, johnson, zeller, sullinger, and olynyk) all playing at least 10 minutes a game.

It was something like this, but don't hold me to it

PF - Lee 20, Sullinger 16, Olynyk 12
C - Johnson 28, Sullinger 8, Zeller 10

In certain games Lee's interior scoring will be needed or Zeller's size or Olynyk's range or someone is on fire or someone is cold, and the minutes would be adjusted.  I think that would provide the best sort of rotation where everyone is playing every game with at least respectable minutes, but also allows the flexibility to extend time based on need.
2023 Historical Draft - Brooklyn Nets - 9th pick

Bigs - Pau, Amar'e, Issel, McGinnis, Roundfield
Wings - Dantley, Bowen, J. Jackson
Guards - Cheeks, Petrovic, Buse, Rip

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
I like Sullinger. I really do. I like his fierce attitude.

He was a drafted Celtic, and I hope he would stay with us for a long time.

He just needs to work on his game. I personally like his attempts at the 3 point line. I mean the motto was, if your open... take it. He doesn't take really dumb 3's. But I feel like he has a very nice mid range stroke, so I never understood why his 3 pt attempts are so bad. His mechanics are good, and he has a knack for rebounding, and his big butt is an huge asset to his overall rebounding game.

That is why I felt like Sullinger could've become the next Kevin Love.

I don't think the plan is to play Zeller under 11 minutes a game. I think the plan is to play who is playing well. Thats why Zeller only played 11 minutes and Sully played more. We could see minutes change a lot game to game and that is ok.

If Sully is still young and he had a lot of good stretches last season, why is his good performance surprising? He has a history of a 13 and 8 guy. If I remember correctly, he got injured last season and when he returned, he seemed quite out of shape and far less effective. But he can play.

It will be interesting to see if he is less effective defensively against smaller lineups.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
It would be funny if Stevens had Sully out of the pre-season big man rotation because he didn't want to wear him out before the regular season.

All this worry about Sully and playing time is going to sort itself out. Remember Brad saying we will use situational match ups. We were lucky to have Sully on the bench and hungry for that type of match up. Cant forget KO was out for the suspension either. Also dont forget injuries, Amir and D Lee have had recent injuries. They appear to be fully recovered but it would be hard to believe that none of this stable of big men will miss time this year due to injury.

Just glad for Sully that he had a chance to play decent minutes and prove he deserves time, even it it is in certain matchups and off the bench at this point.
