  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Here comes the 3rd quarter fail by the Nets. It's their signature.
Also known as 'The Bargani effect'.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Looks like Nets learned to not put Barg at the start of the half.  ;D

Bill Clinton doesn't know sh*t! "Even though they haven't won yet, they're better this year than last year." HA!
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I think it's a legitimate question to ask if Brooklyn or Philly is the worse team. Brooklyn is reaaaalllllyyy bad.

The Nets, Lakers, and Sixers are fighting for the distinction of worst in the league. I think the Lakers are probably the worst, but they also have the most NBA talent (in theory). The Nets seem to be worse than the Sixers to me, but both are pretty atrocious.

Having this pick is amazing

Amazing just doesn't do it justice. It's bordering on unfathomable. A trade with this sort of a haul is virtually unprecedented (in the modern era).

Didn't Cleveland get Kyrie with the a Clippers pick or something? That's the only one of comparable value that I can remember in recent times.

They did, but that was traded midseason (so the Clips knew roughly where they'd finish) and only had like a 1.5% chance of hitting.  Still a dumb trade without protections but a little different than this scenario.

I agree with max - this is like one of those late 70s/early 80s deals before teams realized what high draft picks were worth.  Like Gail Goodrich for the Magic Johnson pick bad, except that we get THREE bites at the apple instead of one.  For a combined 2.5 seasons of two HOFers past their primes.  Plus whatever James Young winds up contributing/getting traded for.  It was an incredible fleecing.

Yeah, that was pretty crazy, but we have this year's, and next year's swap, and the 2018 pick.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Looks like we'll have a dog fight... should have known the Bucks being up double digits at the half was too good to be true :(

Milwaukee is blowing this for us. You can tell they're a really young team. They're making a ton of bad decisions.

Eh, one Brooklyn W doesn't mean much.  And I think they'll put it out regardless - Brooklyn seems like they want to keep going to the Iso Joe well.
