Does this mean we aren't building our offense around him?
of course they will. jones is so good and has such god-like physical potential that he will be the center of the offense even if he is not on the team. THAT is how good he is!  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
The report said that they liked Jones and wanted to keep him by looking for other trades with other players.

I wonder what those moves might have been?
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

wow, DA has officially gone off the deep end. With Jones cut, who's the franchise cornerstone now?? It's like the Cavs cutting Lebron. Only worse.

So, I guess they couldn't trade Sullinger and Turner for multi-allstar player.
lol, did people actually think that was going to happen?
its actually still in the works.
who says?

I don't think anybody expects us to get an All-Star in return for Sully and Turner...

But I think many of us expect that those two guys are on the trading block, and that we'd have no hesitation trading them if it could get us back an asset that is of use to us (a future pick, a starting calibre SF, a quality shooter, an upgraded rim protector, etc).

if sully and turner lands us an all-star the team we trade with must be sleeping.

If Gerald Wallace can land us a two time All Star, why not Sully!

Because Sully isn't vastly overpaid DUH!

Feel sorry for him.  I think he really like the coach and players .  Seemed to have made an adjustments to being  a Celtic.  And bought in.

Shame.

TP!   I don't care how Lee got on this team......he is one of my favorite players in the new era and always wished he was on the Celtics , like KG even if it is nearer the end of his prime.

I enjoy team basketball .  Lee is old school.

just curious. in what ways exactly did you see this buy in by jones?

We cut him and now phx has only 14 players, could have been a 2 for 1 deal but it's too late now LOL.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He is over weight, has become a rebound only specialist and people think he might eat himself out of the league, perhaps.

Unless improves, I do not see him getting paid here.   Nor should you, I think they should keep him, not play him that much and have him focus on his conditioning and weight loss.   You might help his game this way and raise his value or get him more ready to play.    A PF that is shooting 32%, and I might add he was not launching threes all over the place is pretty bad.

We were joking first of all. And yeah his shot hasn't looked good so far. I say it's rust more than anything. All players go through it at one point or another early in a season. Hope it doesn't continue for much longer.
