Dang Young still got a long ways to go.

He's really disappointing

His game has grown by leaps and bounds. I'm excited about his future.
similar feeling. tonight he played credible to good defense, mixed with moments of cluelessness. but the cluelessness was far less than last season.

young is learning to play basketball. he had some good passes as well. and hustled.

his shot tonight was as bad a thomas' shots. i see improvement by young. a good sign.

Holy smokes

We shot a blazing

35 % as a team

Feels like we were taking the right shots though. Amazing how many juicy corner threes we set up that didn't go down.

Mickey went for 10pts (5-7)/4rbs/2blks/1ast/1stl in only 12 mins!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Okafor looked noticeably better compared to his summer league play. Impressed me tbh

Not all good, though. He got smoked by Okafor after the pros had neutralized him all day.

If he an Rozier played 35 minutes we'd won by 30

a top 3 rookie center against a 2nd rnd rookie pf . okafor should win that all day every day on offense (especially given okafor's offensive lvl).

how did he get smoked?? Okafor made some tough shots.

Plus Mickey is not suppose to be guarding him.

Agreed.

I really liked him going into the draft, but was very disappointed in summer league - he looked overweight, out of condition, slow, uncoordinated and generally lost.

Today he missed his share of shots, but he looked much more mobile and a lot more aggressive and confidence.  Looked more like what I expected him to look like.  I think he's going to be a very nice player.

Yeah - looking at the stats it seemed like both teams were almost equally bad offensively, but I feel like that doesn't tell the full story.

They looked like they were always forcing tough shots against our tough defence.  We seemed like we were getting the great looks we wanted all day long, and they just weren't going in.

his shot tonight was as bad a thomas' shots. i see improvement by young. a good sign.

He shot something like 1-12 from the field, and ironically I actually see that as one of the indications he is improving as a player.

When he caught the ball and had the shot available, he was taking it without hesitation.  Miss or make, he still took the next shot without hesitation.  That apparent confidence is what was desperately lacking in Summer League and during last season, and it's the type of confidence he will need if he is to have any chance of becoming a player in this league.

Also his defence has definitely improved significantly.  It's gone from 'non existent' to 'bad but at least he's trying'.  Long as he keeps putting in that effort he has a chance of improving to a passable defensive player.

Before pre-season I was leaning towards cutting Young and keeping Jones, but after watching both play Jones is definitely the guy I would be cutting.

He was by far the least productive and impactful player on the team in preseason.
