i just went and watched his 2015 highlites,he was quite a basketball player for the celts last year
at 6-7 he can create and rebound,he is still young and durable
there were times, his bad passes drove me through the roof cursing but he was playing for a new team with a  constantly changing rotation including a rookie and he produced
why trade the only guy outside of isaiah that can get to the hoop off the dribble and create for his teamates-assists,rebounds and good at the finish-make the rookies take their time not be allocated it

I agree. Until Smart can start creating shots off the bounce, we probably need Turner.

I really want to see Smart drive more to basket and create shots, his offensive game needs to start coming along.

the luxury of having a 6-7 player at guard that is capable of triple doubles doesn't grow on trees
brad likes him,the city likes him, as he just won an award for civic duty,he is a good locker room guy
his rebounding and ability to get in the paint and finish with contact and his pick and roll with zeller
gotta factor in durability and clutch
why can't turner get better with another year of brad and the same players-
turner is still young.i see him thriving with brad both isaiah and turner will benefit from additions of johnson and lee while brad puts them in position to maximize their strengths
-turner had it bad in philly and at indiana and last years merry go round was difficult for everybody--look what they accomplished 2nd half

I agree.  He's got some consistency issues, and he's not a very good long range shooter, but when he's in a groove, he can be electric with the ball in his hands.  He's also a very good rebounder with the length to make plays defensively.

Keep him and have him be a part of the rotation.

Smart/Thomas
Bradley/Turner
Crowder/Jerebko
Lee/Olynyk
Johnson/Zeller

As needed:  Sullinger, Hunter

Deep bench/Maine:  Mickey, Rozier, Young (with opportunity to move up in case of injury).

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

He has three triple doubles in his whole career.

LOOK under REGULAR SEASON MISC TOTALS  at the bottom

http://espn.go.com/nba/player/stats/_/id/4239/evan-turner

All three were last year, he is much more of a double double threat, he has 37 in his career of which 7 were last year.

I don't think Turner should share the floor with IT, which right away limits his usefulness since IT should be playing 24-28 minutes a night at least.

Even in a smaller 20-24 minute role, Turner has a useful skillset as a creator and attacker, provided he picks his spots, but on this team I'd rather just let Smart and Rozier take their lumps learning to handle the ball at the NBA level.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

there were only 4 other players who had 3 triple doubles last year--the celtics who have had multiple triple doubles -bird,rondo,walker and pierce-

If it wasn't for the height I would think you were talking about 2013-14 Jordan Crawford. Except Turner wasn't named Eastern Conference player of the week.

In the regular season, perhaps but in the post season.

LeBron had 2 in regular season and 3 in the post season alone.

Griffin had 3 in the post season.

3 triple doubles last year?

Great, sell high.

I think Turner is a fine player but I would trade him in a heartbeat for a decent younger player with more upside (see Winslow thread for example).

The thing about Turner is that he is only productive when he has the ball in his hands. He's not a good shooter, he doesn't cut well and he doesn't play defense. And he's not a good enough playmaker to offset those flaws.
