It is nice to see Greg Oden have a strong performance overseas. This was the first game I can remember since college that he looked like a beast. One dunk he did was sick and I cringed at the thought of him coming down on those knees but all looked good for one game. Here is hoping he stays healthy and makes it back to the NBA season for a team that needs a strong center. He is still only 27 even though his body has been through a lot.

i wish him, and his knees, the best of luck.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Oden vs Embiid will be quite a rivalry in China.

I'm going to Shanghai and Beijing next month.  I thought it would be funny to catch a Stephon Marbury game while I was in Beijing.  I know their season starts in November, but I literally can't find a schedule anywhere.  I've tried a bunch of websites... used Google Chrome's auto translate to open up Chinese language websites... nothing.   Forget about figuring out how to buy tickets... I can't even find a schedule.   Kind of weird/annoying.   Oh well.

I'll say this about Oden.  When healthy (meaning Miami Heat version Oden), I'm not sure he's worse than Kendrick Perkins right now.   There's a number of reasons why he's not on an NBA roster right now... and I don't anticipate him ever being a starter in this league... but I really believe there are probably worse players in the league right now.

Think that's it. I'm heading to Hong Kong and Beijing mid November too so you've given me a great idea!
