There was one minute left, down like 8 points or so. They needed a quick shot at that moment, and he took it. Although it looked like a bad shot, it was the right play, and good sense of time management.

We needed points and was tired of wasting possessions without a shot attempt.

Even more perplexing than that shot is why he often releases the ball so quickly.  Wouldn't it be better to be under better control and take a more relaxed,normal-paced shot?  Maybe he's just accustomed to such a quick release.  Even at that, I don't get it.

In this case he just rushed to take the shot without thinking about the position he was in.  Probably was just a rookie mistake due to nervousness.

He has a quick release...
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

He was the man at this college, his dad was his coach.   He had to support the offense so he developed this release.   It is not anything I hope he changes as it is an asset.   I just wish he would get him feet aligned more.   When he misses it, most often it is his alignment of his feet.   He nails the ones he is balanced on more often than not.

Wouldn't it be a bigger asset if he relaxed just a tad bit and connected on more of them?  Even he gets a few of them blocked, it's not a big deal.

If he is shooting from the corner and an occasional shot gets blocked chances are the ball will go out of bounds. No harm done there. And, if players start going after his shots, then he can fake and drive by them while they are up in the air.

Maybe it's me, but have you have seen a player with as quick a release?  Some of his shots are like rifle recoil.

Curry and that rookie booker have a quick release. I am not sure, but I think it was said theirs are a tick faster than RJ's. I also could be mistaking RJ for Booker because I wanted us to pick him too. Either way, they all have some of the quickest releases.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

In this article the author somewhat compares RJ's quick release to Curry's.
