You can't have a team with all superstars. You need role players and this team is filled with them. Be definition those players are going to have flaws, sometimes glaring flaws. At this point Danny has to figure out what other teams will take from him to get that next star while retaining some of these role players because you need them.

For that reason everyone is available to be traded but I would expect a few of these role players to stick. Which ones? Don't ask me. I haven't a clue an quite honestly I don't think Ainge does either until he can lock down a team that ants to trade their star player to Boston.

I like Zeller as a player, but I think Amir should definitely be starting over him (he is already getting way more minutes anyway). Amir is that supposed defensive center so we are going to have to see what he brings to the table - so far, so good, but I would love to get a powerhouse center on the roster, for sure.

I like Zeller as a player, but I think Amir should definitely be starting over him (he is already getting way more minutes anyway). Amir is that supposed defensive center so we are going to have to see what he brings to the table - so far, so good, but I would love to get a powerhouse center on the roster, for sure.

Amir is not a center unless you are going small ball. Amir killed it last preseason game at his natural postion PF next to both Zeller and then KO let's keep him there. But for the sake of trying out lineups it is better to play around in preseason.

Amir played a lot of 5 against Brooklyn, when Zeller went out of the game he guarded Lopez and did at least as well as Zeller if not better.

If Amir can guard Lopez, I'm not sure how many other centers he can't guard.

This team as currently constructed is better with an all-around center like Zeller as opposed to a more limited defensive role player e.g. Festus Ezeli.

Of course we'd love to have Rudy Gobert, but there aren't many of those guys in the league.

Who would want an overweight PF who is shooting 34% from field goal?   Peeps can't blame it on the fact that he is taking threes this year either.

Yeah, I have to say I'm really happy with these rotations - especially the Olynyk + Johnson combination.  I think that duo is going to be an absolute nightmare for opposing teams front lines.

I always felt Sully would be the odd man out. 

Sully does bring some nice skills, but for every skill he brings there is another big on the roster who does it better:

- Lee is a better rebounder, passer and inside scorer
- Zeller has a better midrange game
- Olynyk has a better perimeter game
- Johnson is a better defender

This really makes Sully quite redundant, and so there is little reason to give him minutes other than to simply:

a) Give other players a rest
b) Keep his morale at acceptable levels

Even with what you said, Sully is still a good player.   Like Bilas said before, he is not really a pure center or pf, but a basketball player. Knows how to play

BUT his body is crappy.  I don't know, maybe due to genetics he just can't get cut , get below the 10 percent fat mark without sacrificing strength.   

Eddie Curry, Oliver Miller are two other players that couldn't change their bodies no matter how hard they tried

Then they didn't try hard enough.

The number one factor is the stuff people eat. Some people just can't give up stuff that does nothing good for their body.
