Boom.
Looks more and more like they are separating themselves as a bottom 4 squad.
At least Joe leaving gives us a chance at tying/being worse than Phoenix by season's end.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.

This current Phoenix roster might be worse than Philly... hoping I'm wrong but I think the Nets are locked in at 4. Philly, Lakers, and the Suns are all clearly worse.

Huh, interesting. Surprised it only ended up being a 10 point game.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

One win against the Suns qualifies as "doing well?"

Yeah they are looking pretty sad. I guess the Suns have also had Knight and Chandler sitting a lot. If those two can play most of the remaining games there's a chance they finish off better than the Nets, especially since the Nets have dumped Joe.

I wonder if the Nets start sitting Lopez at all soon to preserve him for an offseason trade. If that happens then the Nets are in Philly territory. I mean if Lopez even gets a slight injury and misses 5-10 games, they will probably lose all of those games.
Here's to hoping for some time off for Lopez.

Who knows? Maybe some team will throw us a godfather offer for the fourth pick, like what we were trying to do.

You, my friend, get a TP for pure, blind optimism!

Almost impossible to out-suck the suns at the moment.  :-[

The Suns will be a bit better when Knight comes back, but they seem to be dragging their feet on it (unsurprisingly).

i know. phoenix is truly, epically terrible right now. they will be challenging LA for the second worst record i think. it will a tough battle though since LA is clearly tanking, and having kobe on the floor for extended minutes is proof of that.

actually, for LA, kobe is golden. by being on the floor for a lot of minutes he ensures the lakers are tanking AND he puts butts in the seats. so they can tank AND still keep attendance up. clever move by the lakers.

but back to the nets, i just dont see them moving up or down from the 4th spot right now. but stranger things have happened. if lopez goes down, they might indeed beat out LA.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Don't rule out 5th.  They are only 2 games behind Minny and have some winnable games soon.  There's a huge game at Minny in about 2 weeks.
