Thank youuuuuu Brooklyn!!! After Phoenix took possession of 3rd worst earlier this season, I never thought this would happen. Now we just need lottery luck (not exactly known as the Cs hallmark, but I'm hopeful!)  :D

This takes some of the sting out of us playing Atlanta in the first round of the playoffs.

We should consider reusing this thread for next season. It could possibly end up being 1000 pages long if we continue until 2018 ::)

I've said for a long time the Nets pick would be good. In 2014 I said it would be a lottery pick and I've been pretty consistent about that.

The #3 pick in the lottery was better than even I had hoped for. I was thinking 5 or 6 - 25 wins or so for the Nets. So heck yeah, this is fun - playoffs AND a high lottery pick.  :)

Nah, I've only had nightmares of our pick ending up being #5 :o I hope it doesn't come true even though we haven't been lucky in the past few drafts where we had a lottery pick.

Don't count your chickens quite yet.  C's only have the third highest chance, not the third pick.

Here's an interesting stat: They have a 47% chance of getting one of the top 3 picks.

I thought of this too, but are they necessarily guaranteed the combinations that we would have had if we finished 4th? Not so sure about that.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

last night marked the end of my morning routine of checking the espn scores when I get in my truck for the sole purpose of making sure the Nets lost.

I predicted 8th worst record.  But this has been GREAT!

And then I read this :
