Kevin Durant says Stephen A. Smith is "lying"

It's been a long time since I've watched or listened to Stephen A. Smith, but when I watched a lot of ESPN in college, I always hated him. I think he's the worst and can't understand why he still gets the amount of play he does. He does stuff like this all the time where he makes a declarative statement out of something that is really just speculation.

Exactly.  Durant also didn't deny that he would be considering LA if he left OKC.  This is just Durant taking a shot at the media, which is something he has been doing a lot more.

Stephen A is very obnoxious and him and Skip are often awful on their show, but he is also incredibly well connected in basketball circles and he is right almost all the time when he is saying things he says are sourced (not just his overtop the opinions).

So it's kinda non news he's reporting. Not only that but even if it's basically not true you wouldn't expect a player and his agent to shoot it down and be like "We weren't and wouldn't consider LA!" for a bunch of reasons.

I just like how KD is holding this ESPN guy accountable and is saying there's just no reason to put any stock into what SAS is saying

I don't understand why guys like SAS don't just admit it's speculation when it is. Otherwise stuff like this happens
