They have Brooklyn at 28.5 wins, 4th worst in NBA

They also have us tying for the 7 seed with Indiana.

The Dallas pick would be 13 here.... not bad at all.

42 wins sounds right.   A bit better than last year.

If I gambled, I'd bet on Brooklyn winning more than that.

I actually do too.
I see them in the 30-35 range. As Ive been pretty consistent saying they will be in the 7-12 range for picks.

42 wins seems right, but it's hard to predict considering our roster is really set up for a trade.   I could see us pulling off some big trade that makes an immediate improvement.  I could also see the team struggle out of the gate and make some trades to push us towards Ben Simmons.    AInge has consistently showed that he's very much in the "Superstar or bust" camp.

I'd be really surprised to see this as our roster at the end of the season, though.

I think there's a chance Minnesota is a bit better than that.  I also think the Knicks could make the playoffs.

What do you see happening if the team plays well out of the gate and no star is available via mid season trade?

If you look at the range of wins for the team (barring major injuries) as 40-45 wins, 42.5 sounds about right as a middle point.

The odds for a title are the same as the odds of all of the top players on the other Eastern Conference playoffs teams suffering season-ending injuries while they are facing the Celtics, and then the same thing happening to the top players on whichever Western Conference team makes the Finals.

You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Seems about right for the current roster but there's some volatility there - still I'd see a major move as being more likely to move that line up than down.

Why can't they get hurt playing other teams?   :P

Celtics clearly aren't maned to deal with Cavs , Spurs , Clippers  and Rockets , probably not Warriors or OKC in a serious playoff.

But I think the C's are right in the middle of the mix of the next ter of teams that want to play playoff ball.

A couple of Stars and we ll be knocking on the door of the first group .

There will still be trades, because there are so many redundant players on the roster.  THe ones not getting minutes will be sold off.

42.5 is right on the money betting wise. I think they can get to 45 tho considering the division is so bad.
