We still have no idea what Kaminski will do in the pros and personally I was much more excited about Olynyk based on watching him in college than I ended up being after his rookie year. Kaminski was much more consistent in college and had 2 seasons of solid starter minutes. He was better than Olynyk in terms of shooting from 3, not turning the ball over, and rebounding just looking at the stat sheet. Watching him play I think he's a much better post scorer than Olynyk was in college and doesn't seem to rely as much on just being bigger than everyone else - an advantage neither of these guys has/will have in the pros. I think you have to give the early edge to Kaminski, but a lot could happen.

Since they're essentially the same player, tie goes to the hair

I think Kaminsky will be better.  It just has that "it" thing that can't be quantified by stats.  He seems to rise to the occasion and make big plays.  A bar of "better than Olynyk" is not an ultra-high bar at this point but if I was given the opportunity to trade Olynyk for Kaminsky straight up, I would do it for sure.

KO is soft, and doesn't show up all the time, I think Kaminsky will demand more respect in the NBA. I think he will end up with more of a Dave Cowens additude. Their skills are similar.

Kaminsky, though, looks like he can grow a real beard.

I guess it is easy to say Kaminsky when he hasn't played a single meaningful minute in the NBA yet.  Not even a preseason minute.  You guys kill me.  Seriously.

I'm judging from one game but he passed on a lot of shots when the pressure was on in the tourney title game.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!

i take it you are not a fan of the "let's pull it out our butts" form of analysis that occurs here?  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Cowens was a lot more intense, hardcore than either of these guys by a mile.   He also was a great leaper and could out run most of the guys he played.   When you say stuff like the above, you show your clueless on Cowens.  In his prime, he would have made both these guys pee their pants.

Kaminsky was a much better played in college and came out at a younger age. Their games are very similar but I think Kaminsky will be slightly better. Even then where the Bobcats picked him was a huge mistake.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

True.  Sam Dekker seemed to take ALL the big shots in the tournament while Frank the Charmin Tank seemed to disappear come prime-time!!!!

I just used Cowens as an example of a stretch 5, with toughness, I qualified with "more of a" Cowens attitude. Meaning IMO he will have more of a rougher, attitude than Kelly. No need for sarcasm, it's a casual conversation, about a player that hasn't played a single game yet. Like, we're just talking. I understand either is not Dave Cowens.
Your right though, I only watched Cowens for 2 to 300 games.
