2015 Draft Question

During Danny Ainge's press conference while the 2015 draft was still in progress, Danny said that the team was trying to buy another pick.

Was there any information written anywhere about who the Celtics were targeting?

It surely must have been another draft-and-stash player, I'm really curious who it might have been. Maybe it was one of the guys they have invited to training camp that they will try to get to sign with the Maine Red Claws. I really liked the brief looks we got of Malcolm Miller in Summer League, he looks like he could have a future as a 3 and D guy. Or maybe they were targeting an international prospect.

Any thoughts?

Yeah I thought so too, it looked like he had a lot of potential at summer league.

I asked Kevin O'Connor of Celticsblog (I really respect his opinion) about why they didn't pick him instead of Marcus Thornton (nothing against Marcus Thornton) and he suggested that Jonathan Holmes may not have agreed to be stashed overseas:
