Regardless of whether I agree with you or not, by all accounts the management has been throwing everything they possibly can out there in pursuit of high picks. They offered up half the team and a gazillion future picks just to try to move up to the middle of the top ten. Nobody is taking it! High draft picks are not on the market!!! What you are suggesting is a version of plan A, but we are living in plan B.

What the point of getting more draft picks? How many teams in the NBA have won a championship recently with a slew of young underdeveloped recently drafted players?

You don't sell these guys for more picks when we already have too many and they won't fetch us anything lottery worthy. You package these guys with our picks to try and land a big fish when that becomes available. Until then, you stay patient.

At this point, the only two players I'd consider "selling high" on are Tyler Zeller and Evan Turner for two reasons:

1) They both may have actually peaked last season.  I'm not saying that's definitely the case.  They are both young and could grow more.  But I think we can all agree that guys like Sullinger and Smart  have more room to grow than these two do at this point.

2) Both have rather nebulous roles on this team next year.  I think it's possible (though certainly not guaranteed) that both of them could actually be out of the rotation or fringe rotation players next year.  Think about it, if Crowder starts and Jerbenko gets time at the 3 (not to mention Stevens going small with IT, Bradley, Smart on the floor at the same time), how much will Turner play?  Similarly, if Lee and Johnson start and Sullinger and Olynyk get meaningful minutes, how much is left for Zeller?

So while I'm not in a rush to dump either one of them, I do see both Zeller and Turner as guys who may not help that much this year and as a consequence may see their value diminish as the season goes on.
