Alright guys, its mid September and news is slow. We all love the draft and all love thinking about the C's future so here's a place for everyone to make their predictions as to who the C's will pick with their own pick, the Nets' pick and the Mav's pick.

Trades are accepted and encouraged!

My own picks:

Keep em all.

Nets' pick: 4 - Brandon Ingram
Mav's pick: 9 - Jacob Poeltl (Gonna make a big jump this year.
C's pick: 17 - Malik Pope

Why Ingram? BECAUSE SMALL FORWARD. Potential through the roof, good size, good age, good jumper.
Why Poeltl? BECAUSE CENTER. Finally a big lane clogging, rim protecting C.
Why Pope? BECAUSE POTENTIAL. He has the potential to be something special (I know we've been burned by the potential train before). Plus we already have too many players on the roster. I could see him spending time with the Red Claws (Like James Young) and possibly becoming really good (hopefully like Young).

Smart
Hunter (Yes next year he will start)
Ingram
Sully (Fit Sully)
Poeltl

With all these guys on the bench:
PGs: IT, Rozier
SGs: AB, Young
SFs: Crowder, Pope
PFs: Olynyk, Mickey
Cs: Zeller, Amir

LOVE THIS YOUNG SQUAD

Alright guys, go to town! Have fun!  ;D

26 days.

Not to mention all our 2nd rounders to grab both foreign and American centers. Plenty in the 2nd this year.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

I do like your thoughts on who we'd draft.  Brandon Ingram and Jacob Poeltl  are both names I'm intrigued in watching this year.  Ingram would be a huge addition for us, but I don't think we're going to have a high enough draft pick to draft him.  Poeltl I think is a likely target and reachable.  I didn't to see much of him in college but seen tapes online and looks like could be a good fit.

Honestly right now, this year draft isn't what's intriguing to me it's actually the 2017 class.  This though is simply for two players who I've seen tape on and jump off the screen.  The first is a small forward/shooting guard in Josh Jackson.  He's looking like will be a top five pick from what I've seen and read in the 2017 draft.  Of course all subject to change depending.  The other is Thon Maker, who's been on a lot of peoples watch.  Yes, he needs to gain some weight, but with that he could be one of the deadliest players in this years draft.  The height of a center, at 7'1, weighs only about 220, would need a little more to bang against the bigger center, but could still do it.  The speed of a power forward/small forward, the handles of a decent point guard and to top it off can shoot from all ranges.

If we can't get great players in this years draft in 2016, I'd be trading picks for 2017 1st rounders and go after these two players.  But if we can even grab just Ingram, I'd be trading the other two 1st rounders for 2017.

Nets pick goes top pick after lotto win. Skal Labissiere goes 1.  C's pick and 2018 brooklyn pick goes to Warriors with Turner and Sully for Barnes. The Mavs pick is moved with KO, JJ and IT to Jazz for Favors. Philly pick best Center available.

2016
Smart/Rozier
AB/Hunter/Young
Barnes/Crowder
AJ/Lab/Mickey
Favors/Zeller/Hammons?

I don't know why but I have a feeling that Danny is in love with Jaylen Brown. This guy is incredible as an athlete, he's explosive and a scorer who can defend at an high level. He can also compete with the best of them which it's why he plays like a Celtic.

Totally agree, I've been on the Jaylen Brown bandwagon for a while now.

I'm on the bandwagon too. This kid is NBA ready and his chance of being a bust is really low. At worst, he'll be a starter who's an above average defender and decent defensively.

I'm thinking the Nets will win about 32 games and the Mavs will win about 38.

So, I'm guessing something like the 8th pick and the 12th pick.

Then for the Celts, I'm thinking about 42 wins.  I'm gonna guess that they'll end up with the 16th pick, again.

I really hope the Celts can find a way to trade out or trade up and not use all of those picks to add more role players / borderline starters.

If they do, though, here's my best guess, at this ridiculously early date:

8th - Damion Jones
12th - Jakob Poeltl
16th - Caris LeVert

But knowing Danny, he'll pick some guards and undersized PFs that I've never considered.

How great would it be, though, to somehow end up with Skal Labissiere?  To have the new face of the franchise called "Skal"?  Priceless.

Gosh that's so many picks.  If Ainge can't find a trade, better make a lot of those draft-and-stash.

I guess it's not inconceivable that Lee, Jerebko, Amir, and Turner all walk and the team declines to match on one of Zeller and Sullinger.  That would open up a lot of spots for rookies, though the team would still have to spend money on someone.

I'm pretty low on Dallas and Brooklyn. I just don't see them being that good at all. Brooklyns a Brook Lopez foot injury from being Philadelphia bad. Other than him, no one on their team is particularly good outside of JJ (who is deteriorating), Thad Young (a decent role player), Jarrett Jack (not a good starting point guard), and RHJ (who is up in the air). They also don't have a particular intimidating bench. Bargnani? Plays no defense and hasn't played more than half a season in 4 years. Thomas Robinson? Guy's been 6 teams in 4 years. Shane Larkin? Had all the time in the world to prove he was good with the Knicks and never did it. Their bench is awful. Factor in that the east should be tougher, and I see Brooklyn being bottom-5 bad.

Dallas has no one reliable on their bench outside of Devin Harris and JJ Barea, and their starting 5 isn't exactly great. Chandler to Pachulia is a downgrade. Williams could be worse diva wise than Rondo was (He has a worse rep than Rondo if you ask me) and is also deteriorating. Parsons and Matthews are great players but not stars and are coming off serious injuries. Dirk is 37 and not what he was. The best part is the logical thinking should be to tank, but Carlisle isn't the tanking type. They'll try but come on, would you seriously put them in the same breath as the Warriors, Spurs, Clippers, Rockets, Thunder, and Grizzlies? Nope. The Pelicans and the Jazz should by all accounts be better than Dallas and take the last two spots. I also think Phoenix and Sacto will be better than them because they have more talent.

My honest guess is Brooklyn is #4, Dallas is #10

Checking the tankathon site for the Mavs & Nets picks is my main motivation for getting out of bed in the morning at this point.
