Live in Ohio and a big Ohio State fan and I never would have taken Russell at #2.  Just never made sense to me.  If I had 3, I would have done everything in my power to trade out of the pick so I wouldn't have to take Russell.

why's that, I don't watch much college ball but I heard Russell has the biggest superstar potential but also has the biggest bust potential as well during draft night.
He just seems to disappear for long stretches of games.  He is also incredibly inconsistent and streaky.  Sometimes that gets worked out, sometimes it doesn't.  I just don't see a superstar when watching him play.  He certainly could be a very good player for a long time, but I just don't see star with him.  Now maybe I'm wrong, but there would have been no way I would pass up Towns or Okafor for him.  None at all.

I feel the same in a lot of ways - I'm not intimately familiar with Russell, but what I have seen reminds me of a slightly less deuchey and awkward Jordan Crawford.
