Way higher on the Vanderbilt Center Damion Jones than on Zhuo Qi. Qi seems closer to Yi Janliang(sp?) than Yao Ming. Far too much of a stick to be the kind of shotblocker that he is in China. Not worth the potential difficulities that come with the language and cultural barriers unless ownership was the Celtics to establish your presence in China like the Rockets and Lakers have.

Jones is listed as top ten on draft express IIRC. Definetly think he is going to be a staple of this draft class when all is said and done. Diamond Stone seems low too, but everyone seems to have him low so there must be some character or conditioning concerns.

If that Nets pick ends up top three hoping that Jaylen Brown is the target to give us some explosiveness on the wing. Maybe pick him and Ivan Rabb given that they clearly wanted to play together and Rabb finally seems like he might have his head on strait.

Damian Jones definitely seems pretty interesting. He could be a great target with the Mavs pick.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

A 2nd round prospect that I think could become a solid pro is Perry Ellis from Kansas.

6'8, 240 pounds, 6'10 wingspan sf/pf.  Good athlete. Has improved his game every year in college.

reminds me kind of Marvin Williams (younger days).

Mark my words, we will get one of them and Jakob Poeltl

Ingram's frame worries me a bit, but I love Brown; he'd be a perfect fit too.

Edit: I'd like one of Skal, Simmons, Ingram, or Brown with the Nets pick and one of Diamond Stone or Damian Jones with the Mavs pick.

have to say, if this is how it actually played out I'd be:
A) stunned both the C's and Mavs made the playoffs since I see them both the lottery.

i don't get why you would be stunned to see the Celtics make the playoffs.

They made the playoffs last year, and with the exception of the Bucks (who were above the Celtics) and the Heat nobody else in the East has really made substantial improvements.

I see absolutely no reason why the Celtics would fail to make the playoffs.  I don't see any more than about 6 teams in the East who are obviously better than the Celtics right now.

C) stunned the Nets ended up as high as the 7th pick.

They are a team filled with one borderline star (Lopez), one good starter (Young), one decent starter (Johnson), one borderline starter (Jack) and about 11 D-League equivalents.

If they don't fall in the bottom 7 I'll be pretty surprised.

You sure?? Per scouting report Brown has alot of things going on except the lack of good handles.  Maybe another mclemore clone?

Not sure about Ingram.

I like Malik Pope . too skinny right now and has decent handles. Just not "tight" in midcourt play

Simmons is the only sf I know from this draft with world class handles for a sf

Why poetl? We already have Zeller.  Poetl is nothing special imo

I think Brown's handles are adequate, but I could be wrong. Brown is definitely a freak athlete and a decent shooter though (with a great motor). Ingram has a great stroke, absurd athletic abilities, and a solid motor as well. As for Simmons, he's not really a 3 and he certainly is not a good shooter (outside of mid range), but his passing abilities and handles are jaw-dropping.

So you want a SF version of Terry Rozier, then?  :D

Ive watch a lot Zhuo Qi from FIBA asia and he is nowhere near Yao. He is long but I dont see anything else tbh. Yi when he was younger was a lot better

He's actually not athletic at all. Battier is a good comp, but without the skill level.
