I am going to go with RJ Hunter.

Hunter's wingspan is massive for his size. Really helps him out on both ends

Wouldn't be surprised if it's Mickey.  They're probably all bench role players, but big men who can rebound and block shots are most valuable even if they're coming off the bench.

Sad that the there is such little confidence in the guy we took at #16.  Sadder that the lack of confidence seems justified.

I wish it was Rozier, but I am going to go with Hunter.  I liked his bball iq in summer league and I feel if he adds a bit of beef to his frame he is going to be fun to watch.  At min he should be a versatile player off the bench the next couple of years.

Hunter! He could be everything I like in a SG - good shooting combined with good passing ability and some handles on offense, smart positioning and good wingspan on D. To me a potential Smart-Hunter pair would be great in a couple of years on both sides of the floor.

With that said, rooting hard for Terry, Jordan and Young (the youngest of the group).

Y'all are laughing, but it's sad. I go home and deny the wing."

Jumping on the RJ bandwagon.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Good for you Pho.  so much for busting Triboy's beans on that :-\   figured with Mickey listed first that was a slam dunk of an observation.  oh well.

Went with Hunter myself.  Kid seems to have a high BBIQ, a long-range jumper and lots of smart hustle in him.  I think this kid could wind up being a solid starting SG in 2-3 years.  I'm ever the optimist ;D

Good for you Pho. Because imo you are right.

Mickey is going to be like a defensive anchor for years to come for the Celts.  He will be depended on the offensive end also.

I like all of our rookies but Mickey especially

I voted Mickey for the following reasons,  he is the best athlete, he has room to grow skillwise and finally the kid has a chip on his shoulder.

Honestly I think all three will suceed at some level ... but watching more on Hunter in college and then watching summer league he just has the tools to be huge... Such range, quick shot, IQ, defenseive awarness... all about intangibles!!

Rozier. I think his defence and his speed will make him a special player. The nice thing is that an argument can be made for any 3. I would be willing to bet that at least one will make an all star appearance at some point

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
In order:

Rozier- already appears to be in the trio of hardest workers on the team (Smart, Crowder, Rozier). Prides himself of defense and has enormous wingspan. On offense he has very good awareness and blazingly quick change of direction- reminds me of John Wall with his hesitation moves. Could be a very good point guard one day. If Jeff Teague is an All Star then Rozier can be an All Star with some solid shooting.

Hunter (close second)- great length like Rozier, Curry- like automated shooting stroke. High IQ and solid fundamentals. Only
question mark to me is his athleticism, but his length and IQ can help him overcome those problems to an extent anyway. I think the spacing in the NBA game will leave him wide open for his specialty 3 pointers and some work on his ball handling will help him get to the rim against NBA defenders. His height/length will be very important versus opposing shooting guards/defenders. I was surprised to see how well he could get to the paint from the 3 point line with his craftiness and his finishing ability from mid range is way underrated. This guy could be a potential stud for us.

Mickey- I really like Mickey as a very good value 2nd round pick. He's got length and athleticism with very good defensive awareness. His pick and roll D is okay but he should improve given his solid IQ.
My main concern with Mickey is how we develop him.
I'd actually hope he can become a small ball 5 like Draymond Green and develop a 3 point shot.
Get him to pack on 15-20 Lbs of muscle and develop a 3 point shot and he could be an awesome NBA player. If he doesn't do that then he can still be an effective role player off the bench especially against smaller line ups.
My question mark with Mickey is his ability to finish around the basket vs NBA length. As a rookie I think he'll be outmuscled and struggle vs length for his first season.
I really hope we find some way to get him 10-15 minutes a game because he's a got a great foundation, length, athleticism and IQ. I'd love to see them throw him out there next to Olynyk and Sully as a weakside defender. He could also give Sully some spacing in the post with his 15 foot jumpshot. Some solid play experience and 2-3 seasons in the weight room and he could be awesome.

Gotta say I think our rookies are very good picks. Our best overall draft in a while.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.
