It's a hypothetical. I think we are going to do better than the 8 the seed. But if we skyrocket to the First seed should that automatically get coach Stevens coach of the year.

Probably not, because in that situation I'd guess that 2nd place would be around 50 wins.  A big achievement given the roster, but not enough to get CoY.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Alright I changed it to first seed. Now that better get him coach of the year. Cause we are probably not going to win it all. This year anyway.

Considering it's probably more likely they fall out of the playoffs, I'd imagine he'd at least be in the conversation. Would be a pretty monstrous achievement.

Absolutely.

Getting the 2nd seed with likely 0 all-stars, > Getting the 1 seed (Hawks) with 4 all-stars

I don't know. If the roster stays pretty much the same, we still don't have "The Guy" on the team, so 50 wins would be more credited to good coaching than having a Lebron or Curry on the team which would put us at the 50+ win mark.

Plus the amount of Buzz he's getting around the league could sway some votes to boot.

I think if the Celtics win 50 games this season Stevens would be the favorite for CoY. That would be a huge overacheivement from this team.

Change the 'if' to 'when' then you have a yes for sure. Not sure which season that will be.

i think he should win COY. Didn't Doc win COY in Orlando when he took a bunch of nobodies and T-Mac to the 8th seed?

  • Celtic's only raise championship Banners
Unless we win a championship or get closer by adding players with higher ceilings than AB IT ET and etc. then it does not matter to me.
