The mocks are based off last year's standings for now. The mocks will update with the records accordingly throughout the season.

I suppose that makes sense but in light of the selections they're assigning us, it really points out that's really too early for them to bother with a mock draft.

I do like Poeltl (won't last to 21 though) and Selden as a second rounder but the rest could be summed up in one statement "Who the hell is that?"

I think a better approach would be to use Vegas NBA title lines for the picks.

For example, Vegas has the following:

Brooklyn in a 3 way tie with Denver and Minnesota for the 5th worst odds in the NBA, so that pick would be in the 5-7 range.

Dallas missing the playoffs, but having the best title odds of non-playoff teams so that pick is #14.

Has us missing the playoffs, but tied with Phoenix for the 2nd best title odds that pick will be either 12 or 13.

not ideal but I think I'll like the options at 5, 12 and 14 much better than 15, 16 and 21.

I'm having wet dreams about Brooklyn having the 6th worst record, winning the #2 pick, and the Celtics getting Skal Labissiere in the draft after making the playoffs.

I like Kaleb Tarczewski AKA "Zeus" but I don't think he would be a good fit in the current NBA.  Poeltl will be a top ten pick in my opinion, I would have loved it if he stayed in the draft last year and the Celtics got him.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

Within the context of never too early Nick is absolutely right
