Why would Durant leave a better situation with a better supporting cast for a new team, new city, with lesser teammates?  And yes, Boston, even with Cousins, is not a better supporting cast than Westbrook, Ibaka, and company.  The reason Washington is pretty much the only other destination mentioned for Durant is because that is where Durant is from.  Durant isn't leaving OKC unless it is to go home and/or he goes to a clearly better situation (like Aldridge going to the Spurs).  Boston is neither of those things even with Cousins.

I don't doubt his talents, I doubt his ability to actually get on the court.  While Big Z is a great example of a 7 footer over coming foot injuries, I can list a lot more guys (Yao Ming, Bill Walton, etc) who had their careers end due to them.

I bet you can't name a single player who's had their career ended by a Jones fracture, which is the specific injury Durant suffered.

It's not as if there's a single bone in the foot that gets injured in exactly the same fashion. Likening Durant's injury to those of the other players you mentioned (navicular bone fractures) is as silly as saying Dante Exum's ACL tear is threatening to his career because Achilles' tears have ended other players' careers. After all, every leg injury is the same, right?

We're never getting Durant.

If the situation in Sacramento really boils over and Cousins demands a trade the Celtics would probably be in the running, given the assetts Ainge has.

Funny thing is, I'm pretty sure if it was any other team that wasn't the Lakers (or a team in their division) that had Deangelo Russell, Julius Randle, and Jordan Clarkson to offer, Sacramento would have absolutely pulled the trigger on that deal.

Celtics technically don't have that kind of an offer for Cousins. Yet.

It is a lot more likely than the near impossible level of likeliness this board seems to give it. Keep in mind every move is unlikely until it happens. Ainge isn't collecting assets for nothing. If we look at history these move would seem to lne up with his plan last time. We know he likes KD and KD knows Ainge is the only guy who would have taken him number 1. DMC has had a rough go of it in SAC and they just brought in a wildcard in RR.

Also, its not really a "sting of events" that would need to happen, its 2. I'd say the trades are unlikely but it is likely Danny's plan A. It looks really unlikely now, but things have a way of snowballing. If we got DMC first and all of a sudden were playing like a top 5 team in the league then why wouldn't KD consider us?
