marcus didn't recover till almost summer league,
when kelly returned he couldn't get to hoop, almost couldn't dunk,it effected his shot and confidence and talk about clumsy and his shot lost arc-so i'm not making excuses  but telling you from experience of a shooting guard with a really good first step
-the dr said i would have beer better off breaking my leg, favoring an ankle throws your shot off,not having as good a lift and pushing off
-you don't trust getting up in air and coming down-
so kelly has worked hard both gym and on shooting,i think we will see a much better kelly
but he misses pressey and continuity

I don't know what it is with young players but watching Winslow go down it seems to take players a few years sometimes to adjust to the NBA and the length of schedule.  Bradley, Sully, KO, Smart all had injury issues early in their career. B radley was his shoulder but everyone else was ankles, feet issues..  Tommy is always yelling about taping their ankles and I hope they do.

The good news is it's usually year 3 or 4 once they adjust which is what all our guys are at now.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
Despite him not looking great after the ankle sprain, the team still performed at a high level when he was on the court. Due to his ability to shoot 3's and attack close outs the Celtics as a team played well with him on the court.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I'm hoping so for KO. I've Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.ed about him quite a bit in his tenure but I love his versatility, and not to make the same comparison all the time but by contrast to Sully, in each offseason I have seen evidence of KO working on his body and getting stronger. Definitely hoping to see him take a few more into the post this season.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity...

rollie massimino taped our ankles personally before every practice and games i don't believe any players don't tape---these pro athletes are faster, stronger and some have vertical a human shouldn't use-coming down awkardly, being hit while  in air, coming down on someones foot-those cameramen on baseline should be moved
there was a time when defense was played in last couple minutes and during playoffs-the celts play tough all game-

I don't think we have to worry about KO having that kind of vertical.  ;D

But nice to see the support for the guy--I'm really hoping this is his breakout year.

Ankle sprains don't take the entire season to recover. Find that hard to believe.

We're not all 7ft and professional athletes.

If anything professional athletes injuries heal a bit quicker due to their access to world-class medical staff and other resources.

It depends on how quickly they're asked to resume activities. Ankle sprains can certainly take an entire season (and offseason) to recover from if you're having to go play on it 3-5 nights a week.

I don't think I want anything to do with a player whose season can get "totally disrupted" by an ankle sprain.

Lol.

How can anyone take you seriously when you say things like that.

I don't know -- how can anyone take Kelly Olynyk seriously? It's an injury. You miss time, deal with it, come back, and play. It's called life in pro sports. Maybe you're recovered, maybe you're semi-recovered, maybe you can barely walk and need shots before each game.

Paul Pierce needed to have the elbow of his shooting hand routinely drained one year. Did that "disrupt his entire season"? Please. The teddy bear play area is next door.
