Would you trade Sully + Young OR PJIII or Pick for Terrance Ross?

Yes. There is only upside here

Yes, but I would structure the deal differently

Meh, doesn't move the needle...

Heck no. Ross is a chucker. Sully will be worth a lot more.

Sully has too much potential still, more valuable than that.

I would trade him in a package for Derozen however.

Bradley, Sully & our own 1st rounder in the next draft.

They keep Ross to play with Lowry & Demarre.  Sully alongside big JV also fits nicely for Toronto, considering the void left by Amir.
No it wouldn't. They would be horrible at defense together.
CB Mock Deadline - Minnesota Timberwolves
Kemba Walker / Tyus Jones / Aaron Brooks
Jimmy Butler / Jamal Crawford / Treveon Graham
Rodney Hood / Nic Batum / Marcus Georges Hunt
Taj Gibson / Nemanja Bjelica / Jonas Jerebko
KAT / Derrick Favors / Cole Aldrich
Picks - 2018 CHA 1st (Lotto protected), none out

Raptors would not trade Derozan for our 2nd/3rd tier guys. They WON the Atlantic with Derozan as their primary scorer - why would they trade him for a backup PF and undersized SG?

Yeah, I don't see any reason for Toronto to do that deal. Even if Derozen had made it known he wanted out, they could still find a better deal elsewhere for an all star SG in a league starved for SG's.

What potential do you speak of?   His shooting has barely progressed and up to now, he has been woefully out of shape each year.   I still do not trust him until I see him on the court.  We know he was skilled when he came into the league, but his athletic ceiling is finite.   Presently, his skills have not progressed a whole lot.   His attitude at times has been poor, missed team meetings, let himself go, and only got into shape because of the contract year and fatboy injury.   He may move better and be better able to stay in games with improved conditioning but laziness could still be a problem.   He still looks really slow in the videos I have seen.  I would not being wrong on this but all this potential is really a myth at this point.   Most predict him if improved to go to 17/10, which is what a 3 point increase and 2 RPG increase.    Not a lot of room there.   I think he may even struggle to get into the rotation.  Guys also thought he was strong when he only benched 185  9 times at the combine.   Crowder and Smart doubled that.  This guy is a man of myths.

DeRozen can score, but he is not a floor spreader, nor an efficient shooter.   That part of him, scares me.  That being said we need scoring.

If Sully went for 51 and 9 (of anything), he would immediately be anointed the cornerstone of our franchise, future HOFer.

Actually, I think he has went for 51 White Castle Sliders and 9 Fries.

I think you're ignoring a lot of upside. Despite being out of shape, Sullinger was the Celtics best player for a good portion of last season. He was certainly our best rebounder. He's only 23 so there's plenty of reason to think he's got more growth ahead of him, especially if he gets in shape.

As for his strength, bench press tells you very little. When we played Sacramento last season, Demarcus Cousins was tossing Zeller around like a ragdoll and Sullinger was the only guy on the C's roster who can defend Cousins without getting pushed around.
