I know this probably isn't a huge deal to anyone but I thought I'd bring this up for a few reasons.

1. Even if it was brief, Tayshaun Prince was a Celtic just 6 months ago. I remember he played pretty well and he was a good soldier in his brief stint here. Not to mention he was how we got Jeff Green out of town and how we brought Jonas Jerebko in. So Prince did make a mark on this past season even if he didn't make it himself.

2. We own the Timberwolves pick if it falls out of the bottom 12 teams. Prince isn't a difference maker at this point in his career, but he will be a veteran leader to their young guys. He has championship experience and was one of the better wing defenders in the game in his prime. That will benefit the young T-Wolves.

3. I really like what the Timberwolves are doing. They're bringing in so many of the right guys into their locker room to mentor their young talent. First they trade for KG, who has a great history with Minnesota and will embrace the big brother role for the young kids, then they sign Andre Miller, one of the underrated point guards of his generation who thrived because of his basketball smarts more than his physical skills, and now they have Prince who will teach them lockdown defense. I'm hoping they make the playoffs this year but the outlook isn't too good, but they should be a great team 3-4 years from now.

4. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Flip Saunders is doing a great job with this team (though they did overpay to keep Garnett). He brings in 2 of his former players who he coached and adored and they should by all means make a big impact on these kids as professional basketball players. He couldn't have played his hand any better after they traded their diva Kevin Love.

I'm happy for Minnesota especially after all they've gone through. For once, they look like they've built a solid future that won't be ruined by inept management or ego.

I do not understand why Tayshaun Prince would want to go to a team like Minnesota.

I do not understand why no contenders made a strong push to get him. Still a valuable reserve.

I like the leadership KG, Prince, and Miller bring. This could only help their team and with it, our chances to get their 1st rd pick this year.

Yeah, Prince is definitely the type of veteran you want mentoring your young players. Smart decision for the Timberwolves.

CBS didn't want us to trade TP last season, he loved the guy. He will be good for them!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

His connection with Saunders. He coached Prince for 3 years. Its the same reason KG decided to re-sign there when he could have been a valuable reserve for a contender. The rapport between the two of them made the deal happen.

As for your second sentence, I really have no idea.
