Just a quick thought to throw out in this slow Celtics news time period.

If the reports are true and Sully is really in better shape, lets say predraft combine type shape (268lbs) when do you expect out of him statistically this season?

I could see him hitting 30mpg 16ppg 9rb, in line with Horford and Z Randolph last season.

That creates an interesting minutes issue with the depth at 4/5. Who is odd man out figuring Sully at 30mpg that leaves 66min split between KO, Zeller, Johnson and Lee not to mention Crowder at the PF or Jones?

I have to think someone is moved or everyone suffers.

Last question, how willing is DA and the Cs front office going to be to shell out big money to Sully? Will any team be willing to give him a big contract with his weight/health history?

I think DA lets the market dictate what Sully gets.

Considering his PER36 is 16 & 11 I could see Sullinger getting about 14 & 9 if he's in shape and playing 30 minutes a game.

I believe the odd man out is definitely PJIII. I see him getting cut before the season starts if Ainge can't facilitate a trade somehow. Also believe Zeller will have reduced minutes with the addition of Amir & Lee.

I think Boston would like to keep Sullinger but only to a certain extent. Based on the new CBA I think Sully could command a contract around the 5yr/45M-55M range.

I think it's possible that Sully could see that type of PT.  I just don't know what Brad Stevens is going to do.  Personally, I'm not that big on the idea that some people have that we play all the bigs like 20 minutes a game (that's roughly 96 minutes divided by 5 for Lee, Sully, Johnson, Olynyk, and Zeller).

Right this second, I'd put Zeller's butt on the bench, because I believe he has the least to offer in terms of upside and current talent.  Some people dramatically say it's "not fair" to bench some of these guys.  But to that I respond, it's not like Zeller is playing behind McHale, Parish, and Walton.  If he can't play his way into a rotation of middle-of-the-pack players, he has no one to blame but himself.

So I wouldn't mind some sort of combination of Sully getting 28-30 mpg with Lee, Johnson, and Olynyk splitting the rest of it assuming Sully actually lives up to his potential.
