I started writing for Amicohoops.net, please take a look!

Hey Everyone. 

I started writing for amicohoops.net a new basketball site started by Sam Amico of fox sports. 

He has me covering the Celtics and I will get to go to every game this season as a credentialed writer so i'm pretty darn psyched. 

so far I have written two article for the site reviewing the draft and free agency.  Please check them out and let me know what you think.

great job,see if you can do some detective work and find how perry's operation effects that red flag and what he's doing to make sure he makes this team-have they been watching him at any practice sessions-

Good moves! Enjoy your fancy digs with the laptop sect. Hope you're being paid.

As far as the writing: dial back the 'I' usage, IMO.  Instead of "I believe coach Brad Stevens may be reluctant to play Hunter due to some defensive deficiencies off the bat", you could go with something like "Coach Stevens may also be reluctant to play..." etc. We know you believe what you write... that's why you wrote it, after all?

Not paid, just a bit of a passion project at this time.  I'm really just in it as a hobby and to get to go to the games for free.  We will see how it all pans out.

It is definitely something to keep in mind. ;D

D.o.s. seems to know how stuff in this regard so listen to him.


I think if I were trying to do this professionally I'd also look at one or two sports writers whose work I really enjoy and admire and think carefully about what makes their work stand out for me, and then try to emulate that.

For me, writing about basketball and Boston sports, it'd probably be Zach Lowe and Paul Flannery.
