it seems the celts have drafted for elite skills, rozier burst, mickey bounce and shot blocking, hunter shooting and bbiq.Marcus strength and defense.Alot of press on holmes as a lost gem,we already have jerebko who shoots the three and runs the court and just entering his prime and now perry 111.
Zeller was a steal and can extend his range and runs the floor.with celts unbelievable depth and defensive intensity during the regular season only the most talented teams will prevale
-the celts hold there own against first unit and clobber the 2nd,take advantage of mismatches and run those slower centers into ground-grind out every possession while isiah makes a mockery of slow bigs , defensive lapses and weaker regular season intensity.BRAD dominates

we have all those draft choices and WCS  has to adjust to nba schedule ,speed and strength and
if cousins and crew  don't gell lets not target cousins but wcs-ainge will not stay static but take advantage of any and all moves and  everybody will be watching the nets/mavericks for those draft picks-
perry will show in pre season if he does or does not have it and if he does
 i think young might go
-sully in shape and any other players value would be greater  in regular season and at trade deadline-young  ate up d league with just with his three,no right hand ,no defense and very little creativity off dribble -hope durant helps him
-i watched every game and always came away pro dwight powell-

I think your overall premises accurate. Rosier is an elite athlete with elite defense Hunter is there an elite passer and shooter at least in college and make you is an elite shot blocker rebounder and athlete so I'm with you.

Danny has said when he's looking at draft prospects, he believes in focusing on what they do really well and not worrying about what they can't do. I think generally his draft record reflects the fact that he hasn't been able to pick guys like Karl Towns, so you have to take guys with flaws. I think his only major issue in the draft is that he thinks the rest of the league underrates guards (which they do) and then he expects that once he can get guys to develop in to where Avery Bradley is now, he'll trade some of them for a good return, but teams still underrate guards and won't give you enough for guys like that unless they are go-to scorers.

Rebounding almost always translates well in the pros.   Shooting does if you can get off your shot.  Loads of guys are athletic, and it hurts when your not, in the pros.

i believe steals is another statistic that carries well from college to the pros.

i read some place long, long ago in a blog far, far away that there are a few stats that best indicate which college players will have a successful pro career. rebounds and steals were two of them.

danged if i can remember the source. sorry.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Rebounding seems like the best one to me, dominant rebounders in college generally do the same as pros. Shooting is one, free throw shooting most of all, but there's a lot of other factors involved there (Hunter for instance shot 35% from 3 in college, but I expect a higher number in the pros because he was always double teamed in college) Overall, defense seems to translate well. Things like scoring, FTA, assists and the like are more dependent on PT and offensive role.

We saw that a lot this year with Smart. He was option number 1, 2 and 3 at OK State, and he's a good driver who generates FT's and scored a lot. I'm Boston, he was option #4 or 5 and hardly had any plays called for him, so because he wasn't asked to do the things he did at OK State, his counting stats weren't as good. As he develops, I think he becomes a more efficient version of that guy from college, but because of the difference in roles his stats didn't translate well last year.

The typical basketball aficionado response has always been rebounding.

About the shooting percentages, a recent study came out that said the indicatives of good three-point shooting in the NBA are free-throw percentage along with the amount of three-pointers attempted per-game in college.
