is young out with durant yet ,sully is  with lucas-
jerebko, amir and lee are they in waltham
don't these reporters or bloggers do any in depth interviews
are they allowed in waltham
with the impact perry can have on roster ,don't the fans deserve more than generic platitudes or are we going to wake and find a couple of our known guys gone only to have breakout years elsewhere or will  perry get the quick chop
there is no doubt kelly is working out, working on agility and strength, sully could come back and be a beast'
how about some research from his former teamates about perry beside best athlete in nba-if it was anybody but a 6-11 young athleticly gifted player with a stuck behind superstar story
us fans wouldn't entertain the thought of breaking up the squad as is-opps some would

I think we need to pump the brakes on the idea of Perry Jones having an impact.

The highlights I saw made me excited about his jump shot but really scared about his ability to utilize it in the NBA because his footwork is so bad. He seems like he needs someone to break his game down to the essentials and teach him how to use his body because he doesn't seem to understand. Hopefully someone on Boston's staff can do it because there is just endless potential to be harnessed there.

Maybe producing a sign WHAT NOT TO DO and forcing him to watch Jeff Green's videos.

It's funny you say that because I had a teammate in college trying to get me to try dance to improve footwork and it kicked my butt.  My footwork actually got better when I went to Europe because a lot of my teammates played soccer and I started playing with them.  Soccer and dancing are no joke, both are harder than they look.

He's definitely talented.  I hope he's not gonna be a big tease like Kwame Brown where he looks like he's starting to get it and then regress.

I will say that he plays smaller than his size, he's more of a 3 than a 4 but he can 4 in Brad Stevens offense.  He's lucky he is tall because he has a slow release and lower release point.  I do love the potential though because this type of talent isn't usually available for free.

I think we need to pump the brakes on the idea of Perry Jones having an impact.

I second that motion. If there's one guy who's the most likely to not make the opening day roster, it's PJ3, with Turner a close 2nd.

However, Ainge had available cap space to use, the Thunder were looking to clear some of their own space and considering they not only paid the dumped salary with those "cash considerations" that were involved, but we also got a 2nd rounder and a flyer on a very physically talented guy at a position of need.

It depends on a lot of factors like how much Smart's improved his play making skills, how all the other guys look at camp etc, but I can see him impressing and us looking to move someone else. IMO, moving Turner instead clears up the roster a bit better because if Turner is on this team, he needs to either play with the starters or not play at all. Him and IT are both very ball-dominant and putting them both on the floor for extended periods together limits the impact IT can have. And if that's the case, you may end up not playing him much at all, may as well keep Jones who won't expect as much PT and fits the end of bench role better.

Regardless, your right though. It's much, much more likely Jones is cut at the end of camp than anyone else. He's gonna have to really impress people if he wants a chance at a roster spot.

Rozier's taking his development seriously, working with a trainer who coordinates with the Celtics on his program:

Here's another one for you, Rollie. From RJ's pre-draft diary:

"After declaring, I set up in a pad in Chicago to prep for the NBA Draft Combine with Wisconsin's Sam Dekker after we both signed with the same agent. Being in Chicago, McBuckets [Doug McDermott] would work out with us pretty often."

I wonder if he's still there working out with them, down in Atlanta, or back in Indiana now.

I still like Rozier's approach--that's all business and maximizing what his body can learn and absorb while he's still young.
