C- Johnson
PF- Lee
SF- Crowder
SG- Bradley
PG- Smart

Or will Brad go with Zeller, Sully and Turner to start ?
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I anticipate a trade before training camp. However, as the roster stands:

C- Johnson
PF- Sully
SF- Crowder
SG- Bradley
PG- Smart

I think Lee will get 25 MPG off the bench, and depending on the matchup will finish out some games. I gotta think one of Sully or Olynyk will start simply for trade value.

I think Lee will start, after all--it's THE reason for him being traded from the Warriors.

Hard to say right now, but I feel Sully will start and Lee will come from the bench.

Was it a starting role per se or just increased minutes? I could see Stevens trying to convince Lee to play Thomas' role but as a big man. Those two would make a nice little pick and roll duo against some teams' second units.

No, the reason is that it saved the Warriors $15-20 million in luxury taxes and salaries.

That said, it's unlikely he'll be buried on the bench here like Wallace, since the C's are paying an extra $5 million to him than Wallace.  I'd expect 20-25 minutes on average, but with the current depth an array of skillsets, I expect a lot of game-to-game variations in rotations depending on matchups.

As of right now, this is what I expect as well.

Maybe, but I thought The Warriors promised to send him to a team, where he would get big minutes, to revive his career.

Not trying to be a nuisance, but he can get big minutes here w/o starting. I feel like that'd massage Sully's ego in a contract year and build his trade value while still keeping Lee happy.

I'm expecting [Smart - Bradley - Turner - Lee - Johnson] to be the starting lineup.

Another factor is Johnson's health risk, which might mean he sees limited minutes as the year progresses.

I think it will prolly be Smart, Bradley, Crowder, Lee, and Johnson, but I wouldn't mind having this depth chart out there:

PG: IT, Rozier
SG: Smart, Bradley
SF: Crowder, Turner
PF: Lee, Sully/KO
C: Johnson, Zeller

Smart
Bradley
Crowder
Olynyk
Johnson

I do like Olynyk's increased range over Lee in the starting lineup, because then our entire lineup could legitimately be three point threats, some more deadly than others, i.e. Johnson.

How long will it take before the Celtics realize the Smart is not a point guard?
