Amir and Mickey

Mickey needs to gain strength but plays a tenacious brand of ball. He will tire his opponents out.

worse case he can press the emergency "block" button

Amir is solid also. Decent shot blocker, underrated rebounder

I feel like this is one of those 'process of elimination' kind of questions ;) ;D.

I feel like it's a "lesser evil" question, at least in terms of who to pair with Johnson up front.

Sully and Amir against teams like Memphis, Spurs, Kings or any team with a Big that can work with his back to the basket.

Amir and Jerebko against any team with stretch bigs or any team playing small ball like GSW,  or Clippers when they play Blake at the 5

I really don't see KO staying here much longer he brings 3 point shooting occasionally but I prefer Mickey or Holmes or PJIII who bring in better defense and rebounding with a respectable jumpshot.

Sully and Lee both can use their weight against bigger players while Jerebko, Johnson, Mickey, PJIII, and Holmes could stick faster 4's without a problem

KO can do neither he soft in the low post and gets blown by guarding anybody on the perimeter

I don't see PJIII or Jerebko as fours or fives. They are built like threes. Mickey too but his skills are low post.

Didn't synergy stats say Lee was the worst defender in the NBA?
optimism is a skill

Best defensive big man duo would definitely be Amir Johnson & Jordan Mickey. This is of course not taking offense into account whatsoever.
