Talk about polar opposites...

PJ, 23 years old, is a specimen who can do it all physically on another level - 6'11" guys shouldn't be able to do what he can.  Of course, he currently lacks the motor and seems to defer too much.

Slo Mo, 22 years old, is a smart and savvy player.  Take charge guy with a herky jerky style but he's not going to stand out physically on the court.

So, who would you want on the Celtics? And who's going to have a better career?

Who's Slo Mo?

This year we are going to do things differently in CB.  Every name will be cryptic.  ;D

Seriously, it seems to be a common trend.  So, many times I'm reading a CB post and someone puts down about a half dozen initials for who they are talking about.  I have to spend time just figuring out who they mean.  Wish they would spell at least part of these names out.  I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels this way.  Slo Mo?

Thank you...nothing against the OP(original poster) but I am having a hard time following sometimes too.

My prediction for PJIII: he will play for us much better than he had in the past.
At that point DA will trade him for a nice return, and PJIII will than return to play like his old self.

I would take Perry Jones, but I admit I've watched Kyle a lot more than I have watched Perry. Watched him plenty at Baylor, but not much since he was drafted by OKC.

Kyle is a bit of a ball-stopper (dribble dribble dribble) and doesn't have a true NBA position (yet). His 3 point shooting and stroke leave a lot to be desired. He needs the ball in his hands to be effective.

Defense is a huge problem for him guarding 3's or 4's. His defensive stances look better this year but he will need people to cover for him and mask his deficiencies on D.

I'd take PJ3.  Far more upside to me

Kyle Anderson for me, I think he knows his game and plays to his strength.   I think he will be in the NBA long after PJIII is gone.

Kyle Anderson. I don't think it's close. Maybe I'm wrong.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Who's Slo Mo?

Kyle Anderson, San Antonio.

How could you possibly expect anyone to get that nick name around here?

Anderson.

And I really want PJ3, I just don't think he is going to make our team unless a trade takes place before season start. Unless he knocks CBS and DA out with his play in pre-season.

Anderson was MVP in LV Summer League.  He has a place in the NBA, just don't think he is a good fit for the Spurs, he likes to dribble too much.

Alright lets not crucify the OP here, Kyle Anderson has been a high profile prospect for years now and his nickname is distinctive. Plenty of us knew exactly who he was referring to.

To answer the question I think Kyle Anderson has a great shot at being the next Andre Miller and PJ III has a poor shot at being something like a shorter Ralph Sampson.

If I'm choosing for this team I'd take the sure bet in Anderson. If I'm starting a franchise from scratch you could probably convince me to roll the dice on PJ III's potential. Jones III's physical tools are 1% but as of yet it looks like he possesses the motor of a Toyota Corolla, here's hoping he can buckle down.

Anderson looks like he'll have a more productive NBA career by the time he's going into his fourth year, but for this particular Celtics team, I'd probably want PJ3 because the Celtics have enough "heady," not particularly athletically-impressive role players. Might as well take a flyer on the super athletic guy.
