Bass and Hibbert are the backbone of that Lakers. Those two are the leaders of the Lakers.

Kobe cannot lead a team anymore. His selfishness is a cancer to whatever team he is on. Decline has left him unable to continue playing the way he used to. He has to adapt to be successful and refusal to do so makes him a weapon against his own team. An anti-leader.

Struggling to think of a team in the West that LA is better than.
Considering 5 of the 6 true contenders play out there, wouldn't be surprised to see LA post fewest wins in L this year.

For someone who is the all time great class such as Jordan, Bird, Magic, Kareem, etc the later part of his career has seemed to be a fizzle to what was an amazing career.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

That squad could be sneaky good - enough to get no more than an 8th seed....

Send Kobe out the right way.

Agreed. Minny is definitely better as is Sacramento. Maybe Portland and Denver. I'd say those 3 will battle it out against Philly for the #1 pick next year.

In the interview, a reporter asked, "Have any of you heard from Kobe, and if so, what did he say?"

There was a solid 8-10 seconds of silence. Bass was trying not to laugh. ;D

I got Dallas, Denver, LA Lakers and Portland as bottom 4 in the West. Cellar dwellers.

The sad thing is that 3 of those 4 teams would be playoff contenders in the East. You're also forgetting Minnesota, unless you are much more high on them than I am.

I think that Lakers team could be better than downright horrible if Kobe is anything like his former self and Russell + Randle show some promise.

I just don't get Dallas.  They should be around a 40 win team.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Dallas probably won't be in the bottom 4, they seem to have committed to not blowing it up. Dallas is very susceptible to injuries/old though, so they could probably reach the cellar with some bad luck. IMO they're roughly a 35 win team.
