I'm very much looking forward to watching Kelly play this season.  I'm hoping to see some improvement in his game.

Starting by getting his foul rate down while playing good enough defense to stay on the floor would be huge.

Yeah KO and even Sully have been put aside right now but third/fourth years are big and things should be easier and they should get better. If KO can toughen up and be more aggressive he could have a very good year. Sully on the other hand I'm not so optimistic about, doesn't seem he has the desire to stop going to Dunkin Donuts every day.

Based on last season, I am more optimistic about Sully than Kelly.

Worth noting: Sullinger still averaged more minutes (and MPG) than Olynyk, even when he was obviously out of shape last year. Barring trade or injury, I expect KO to wind up with less playing time than Sully, Lee, Johnson, and potentially Zeller.

Too many bigs.  The only positive I can see is that Kelly continues playing less than twenty minutes a game leading into his first non-rookie deal contract.  We are then able to sign him at an extremely reasonable rate for the next five years and watch him blossom into a star.

Maybe that's the super secret plan.

Possible and reasonable. I remain less hyped on his potential development than you do but that's hardly shocking at this point.

Can it be October yet plz.

I don't know what more potential development to be had with him is there. His offense is fairly polished at this point, only his hesitance to shoot remains, but that's hardly a hindering factor overall. In the Playoffs, for example, he was shooting well and without hesitation if I recall, in all going full cylinder offensively (which is why he got the start in the 3rd quarter of the 1st game)... but it was the playing tough against good rebounders and strong bigs that prevented him from getting on the floor much after the 1st game.

I just don't envision him improving in that, and that dooms him to a limited role-player off the bench, if anything. He'll have a good season regardless, but it's the playoffs I'm more worried about. Not this particular year, I'm not sweating it, but going forward. If you can get value off him in a trade, do it if worthwhile.

I just have a hard time understanding how someone of his size, and seeming smarts, cannot learn how to box out.  It is actually painful to watch him try!

Tearing Loves arm off was a step in the right direction .

He needs to be aggressive on offense..............don't think ......just Do it !

Use his body to defend ,  not the cheapy hand fouls he picks up constantly ::)

Hopefully Lee and Johnson will help direct him to play aggressive , stand in there and BE 7 ft tall.

As one of the longest tenured Celtics, he should feel more comfortable taking on a bigger leadership role which in turn should help his confidence and aggression on the court........
SHOULD !!!
