Last night was the 3rd or 4th game of SL where he made must-make shots. In fact, last night he made the dagger three times due to how willing Fair, Sampson, and Young were to constantly give the lead right back (ugh).

Yeah, it's just Summer League but the way Rozier is consistently hitting these big time shots makes me believe there might be something to him.

He's got a nice stroke and the ability to create his own shot something this team is lacking. That cross over he had to get to the rim was sick, he may have the best handle on the team. Kid is really growing on me.

I agree. I've been giving the kid a hard time because he can be out of control early in games. He seems to drive to the basket because he is fast enough to get by his man but not a collapsing defense. His first half jumper is also shaky at best.

But in clutch situations, the kid calms down and comes through. It's something you can't teach. This is also true about his free throws.

i was impressed he pretty much took over...I think he is more skilled than smart but i think they complement each other..Smart is still a winner and also he can hit big shots. But with Roizer speed and Smarts leadership and defense we have a winning combination..Smart and Bradley do not complement each other because they both struggle driving the basketball, Rozier just needs to clean up the turnovers he will be ready to start maybe towards the end of the season. btw gotta love that spin move with the bank shot off the glass

  That Fair kid is a ballhog and we always seem to lose leads when he is in there.

He was often forced to carry the load in Louisville.

TP. I totally agree and cant wait to see more of them together. We are building a team with a ton of heart and grit. And for me personally, almost as important as winning is having a team I enjoy watching. Players i WANT to root for. People get so caught up in how the season ends (which i get) but got to remember this is a form of entertainment. Last season for example was SO fun to watch, even though we didnt win a title. Kinda like how Not all great movies have happy endings

I don't look at the shots as an indicator, although it's great. Even if he didn't take a shot, you can see the talent.

Speed, quick to the offensive end on the outlet, athleticism, can get to the rim off the dribble, can break down a defense with that quickness, and plays bigger defensively with that extreme wingspan. These traits and a bit more I'm sure is what caught Ainge's eye. He's got the entire package to be great in the league. Now the work just needs to be put in starting at 21.

I remember when Boston drafted Dee Brown in the 1990 draft.

Rozier reminds me a LOT of Brown, only he's stronger and more physically gifted.  Brown went 165 pounds - and took a beating.  But Rozier's frame is much stronger.

But when I watch them play I see so many comparisons.  Their dribble moves are a LOT alike.  Rozier knows how to gain space off the dribble, a unique ability.  Their shooting strokes are very similar.

I've been hard on this move - and I really didn't like it.  But the more I watch him, the more I'm seeing it.  Smart is a combo-hybrid guard, but Rozier can really handle it well. 

I really see Avery Bradley being gone - that if Danny wants to upgrade, it will take Bradley to be dealt, largely due to his NBA contract.  Not sure Young will ever pan out, but Hunter is for real.

Rozier has the potential to be something special, and I like Rozier, Smart, Thomas and Hunter as the guards on this team moving forward.  Each has something unique to bring...

I think it's fair to say that Rozier and Hunter are the type of player that adapt to any situation. They are getting better and better after each game, while Mickey & Holmes are consistent with their production. You can argue that those 4 players are about equal in term of production, but to me, the first 2 had the better chance to adapt to nba level.

It doesn't matter if it's SL or not. He's got the entire package and he shows it with or without going for 19 in a summer league game. You could see it even if he didn't make a shot.

The athleticism, the speed, defense, the big time wingspan....the tools he has can't be taught. What he does need can be taught. It's no wonder Ainge picked him. Him and Coach Stevens were probably drooling after the two workouts. Who wouldn't want to work with and mold this talent ?

Well he should rephrase it. Let's not get carried away with SL stats, that's what I'd say.

The stats don't mean bunk. Obviously the talent is there, no matter the stats.

KO is still a fine young talent as well. Whose still getting better, btw.
