When I first saw the way he lifted his hand, it looked like he had broken or dislocated his wrist. I'm glad it's not as bad as it looked.

I love Smart's style of play, but that dive was a bit unnecessary given it's SL and his teammate was probably going to get it anyway... just wish he'd be a little, er, more intelligent out there with the risks he takes.

Thought the defender may have pulled him down.

I agree. The intensity level he plays at is great but he doesn't know how to tone it down when needed. That whole skirmish before the injury seemed over the top.

Did he get carted off again?

He needed a stretcher.

There was no stretcher. Who are you talking about?

I was being flippant to the poster that was obviously trolling the thread because you know, Smart is not tough enough.

Let's bring back all the "Pierce in a wheelchair" jokes and skeptics while we're at it.

I did find it humorous that he was referred to as a "very tough guy" earlier in the thread.  This is the guy that got carried out on a backboard and gave a thumbs up to the crowd for a sprained ankle.

Its really a good thing they strapped him into the stretcher too, probably should have gotten one of those neck braces while they were at it.

@celtics: Micah Shrewsberry says that Marcus Smart will undergo further testing upon returning to BOS, but for now, his injury status hasn't changed.

you can hear him scream during the game...it definitely looked very/extremely painful. Hope he is ok! Sucks seeing anyone gets hurt

Seeing as his ankle is worth potentially tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars, it's not so crazy that he got carted off after spraining it so badly it looked like he may have broken it.

That was probably the team trainer's decision, not his, anyway.
