I'd assume a 2-year minimum deal with player option next year.  Clippers can't offer anything more.  Interesting timing given Mbah a Moute's failed physical.

Is the clippers strategy to make a roster of players who can't play with Blake Griffin?

I feel like the Clippers are what Celtics fans wanted between 2010-2013

TP for the find. Wow...

I thought the Rockets were definitely going to re-sign him after how well he played for them and his friendship with Dwight Howard. Oh wait that's right I'm wrong all the time.

Paul/Griffin/Jordan/Pierce/Redick/Smith/Crawford/Stephenson/Johnson/Rivers.

This puts them in the same level with Spurs and Warriors and above Thunder/Grizzlies/Rockets, but that's if Doc can keep the egos in check.

I want to say these two words but I'll get in trouble if I do so I'll be PG.

Holy poop. The Clippers will pwn this season.

Lol. Wasn't Rivers supposedly alleged trading for him a few years back?

Quote
During her regular weekly appearance on WEEI's Mut and Merloni show, MacMullan shared details of a conversation with Doc Rivers as a means of casting doubt on the likelihood of a deal that would bring Smith to the Celtics. Before host Mike Mutnansky even finished asking about the rumor, MacMullan scoffed "no way" and elaborated "I remember asking Doc about Josh Smith last year... picture someone rolling their eyes so much that they're in the back of their head. That's how Doc felt about Josh Smith.

Stevenson, Pierce,Wesley Johnson, Josh Smith.

Not bad for Gm Doc who "sucks" and had "nothing" to improve the roster/bench.

How in the world can Josh Smith go for the veteran's minimum when Amir Johnson goes for $12MM.   Are we sure this isn't the fat UCLA center Joshua Smith?

Seems appropriate.

That bench mob is going to be an interesting group to watch.

Free agent Josh Smith has reached agreement with the Los Angeles Clippers, league sources tell RealGM.

Pretty much because Josh Smith is already being paid $12 million not to play for the Pistons.  Most of what he makes just gets subtracted from what the Pistons owe, so not much reason to sign for more than the minimum.

I guess you will continue to be wrong  ;D.
No way would I rank clippers with spurs, warriors and Thunder. However they should be better than all the others that weren't mentioned.

And the Clippers still won't make the WCF.

The Thunder are a huge question mark because Durant's foot could be a lingering injury and they have a new coach. By all means though I hope they play really well. The Clippers just added depth to their roster which is exactly what they needed. I don't think the Clips are going to reach the finals, but they are definitely one of the league's best.
