For Sherrod, a thread entitled "Decent Article by Sherrod Blakely" on CelticsBlog is the equivalent of winning a Pulitzer for a lot of other reporters. He's on top of the mountain.
This was my exact reaction.
An article by Sherrod being called "decent" is borderline astonishing to me.
Now, actually looking at the article, it occurs to me that all of the names that Sherrod talks about -- Middleton, Carroll, Draymond -- are guys who went later in the draft (or not at all) because of limited physical tools and offensive skillsets. All three are valuable players. Draymond is a borderline star.
But I also think you could argue that each of those guys benefited greatly from finding the right circumstances and system that allowed them to stand out. I wonder if we can expect a breakout like that on the Celtics, given Stevens' egalitarian system and the lack of elite offensive threats to draw attention.
