7 new players invited to the USA Basketball minicamp in August- Jimmy Butler, Mike Conley, Draymond Green, Harrison Barnes, Tobias Harris, Victor Oladipo, and Trey Burke

I think if Smart signed with Nike and Burke was Adidas, Smart would be on this list

None of you would trade Smart for Burke and maybe even Barnes just for next season, he's a better, more versatile, two-way player than Burke already

I disagree, terrible? I think thats an overreaction.
Smart and Burke are comparable, but Burke has more accolades to his name which obviously would give him an edge in most voting circles.

Smart is a good player but people around here make him out to be the next coming of John Stockton. The rest of the country doesn’t have him on as high of a pedestal.

They also 'snubbed' Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker..  I don't think they considered last years draft class. Which i think is fine. You should give players who have a little more experience and are a little more proven a chance.

Certain exceptions can be made when a player like Anthony Davis enters the league. But there was no one of the caliber in that draft class.

Banks is nowhere near the level of any of those 7. Just another Green Team thread

I'm pretty sure Andrew Wiggins got snubbed because he's Canadian.  :)

And Trey Burke is terrible unless you enjoy regularly seeing a guard go 4-13 every night with 0 rebounds and a few assists.

In similar minutes Burke had higher PPG, APG, and FT%
Smart had a higher Rebound and Steals %

Field Goal % and 3 point % were nearly identical.

So if Burke is terrible, what does that make Smart?
