A nice Mix of Veterans and youth and seemingly everyone has talent and different skills to bring to the table. Still no dominant seven foot center on the team, but it's getting harder to complain now. Stevens has real options at his disposal, and we can play a variety of ways with all these options and skill sets.

 Amir, Zeller, Mickey, Kelly Olynyk
David Lee, Sulllinger, Jerebko, Perry Jones

That's up two eight NBA rotation Bigs to pick and choose from. I like how this is taking form.

it is going to be an interesting race to the trade deadline at the ASG. This puts a lot of ressure on sully and olynyk, sully in particular.
we have just paid jerebko, and i love that guy, but how do you deal out playing time on this whole roster, not only the front court.
DA has some big decisions to make before the season starts. Signing Lee, Amir, Jerebko, Perry Jones and Mickey might mean that he gave up on Sully and/or Olynyk, and he is looking for a right deal to ship them out.

If only we could trade all of them for DeMarcus Cousins.

I agree with this. With Holmes and PJIII in hand I think that there is a chance we move on from Sully or KO for next to nothing if they don't show improvement in training camp.

I would prefer the roster is consolidated via a multi player deal for a C like Alex Len or Steven Adams but I don't know if those guys are attainable.

First, let's take out Mickey, who will likely be buried at the end of the bench this year, and Perry Jones, who is far more likely to play SF.

So at the PF / C spots there's Amir, Zeller, Olynyk, Lee, Sullinger and Jerebko. There's certainly a lot of flexibility there, a lot of fouls to give and a lot of different strengths (and weaknesses). There's scoring, rebounding, defense, energy...Brad will be able to create match up problems with many teams.

The major struggle is how to divide the minutes. There's only 96 minutes for these 6 guys. There are simply not enough minutes to go around. Even a guy like Jerebko is used to getting 15mpg. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out, especially if a guy like Sullinger comes into camp  slim and motivated enough and takes that "next step". Or if a guy like Lee finds the fountain of youth and can recreate his 18/9 form from two years ago.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Um, our "loaded" rotation is non-existant. A bunch of undersized PF's and Zeller are not a "Loaded Front Court." Call me when we get a 7 footer; and don't tell me the league is evolving to small ball. Last year was a fluke. I don't think GS even makes the finals next year, nor do we make the playoffs, if your thinking of emulating those shenanigans.

Loaded? Ummm, please pass that $#!+

What team were you watching?

Edit- sorry, that was kind of mean. I'm just tired of the excitement of certain fans that think they're in good hands with this ownership and team.

Nice depth, sure.  But not one player to really get excited about.  We can only put 5 guys out there anyway.

We have a lot of depth, some good talent Lee is a very good player. I expect a trade at some point hopefully a handful of players for another very good player.

I'm excited to see what Stevens can do here - if he got last years group to gel and play very well at times desipte all the trades etc, then he may be able to work even more magic and turn this group of several  "OK" guys into something much more than just OK.

this.

all but Mickey and PJIII are proven NBA-rotation quality players.  thing is, none are real studs.  solid players each with their own strengths but they each have weaknesses as well that are non-negligible gaps in their games

I see a bunch of guys I'd be thrilled to have coming off the bench.

I'm not sure our front court is so much loaded as it is deep.

Last year they were most effective only playing on big at a time. I wouldn't be surprised if two out of Olynyk, Zeller and Sullinger don't play right away.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

They are in good hands.

Disagree with the moves all you want, but you really can't deny that the Celtics are one of the model organizations in the NBA as far as the front office, culture and coaching staff go.

Say what you will about Ainge, but it's not really up for debate that he's one of the best GM's in basketball. Id MUCH rather have Ainge, Stevens and Co over a vast majority of what the other teams have.

Yep, they are loaded in terms of bodies.   We have more size than last year and more athletic ability.  But we lack a marque talent among the Loaded Front Court.

Please, do not say Sully either foks as that is Silly.  Silly Sully get it?  He can't play D, and has a myriad of health issues and is slower than pond water.
