Yeah I had forgotten about him, he is one of the few players that could legitimately do that because decent teams would still play him.

Sacramento actually has a roster that looks decent on paper now.  Though that hasn't translated well for them in the past.

If by upgrade you mean, one team was trying to sign him and the other wasn't then sure...

Huh...I think Sactown is a potential playoff team, not sure the angle you're going for. But yeah, Philly sucks regardless.

agreed - Sac is a franchise trying to win.  Philly is still a dumpster fire and will continue to be so for years.  why would a vet player that can actually play not jump to any other franchise besides Philly

Sac is way more of a disaster. They're using attendance goals in a new stadium to drive personnel moves for the actual team on the court. Think about the absurdity of that. 

And they're also terrible, and have been terrible for a long time. So there's that.

Yeah. I wonder what the issue was that caused him to fail. Or if it was really a failed physical of just a mutual agreement to void the contract.
