So Johnson and Jerebko are signed but the Lee trade has not been made yet and obviously we haven't signed Crowder yet. So we are looking at around 7 mil under the cap right? So in the next few days we could sign someone for 7 mil OR make a trade where we take back 7 mil more than we send out. This could be really valuable. Suddenly we can trade Sully and take back someone making over 10 mil. We will have to finalize the Lee trade soon if GSW have other plans this offseason, so a move could happen really soon.

I've warmed to the idea of trading for DeRozen. With better coaching, he might be a more efficient scorer, something we desperately need. A starting line up like one of these would be really solid IMO:

Smart
DeRozen
Crowder
Lee
AJ

Or

Rozier
Smart
DeRozen
Lee
Amir

I believe DeRozen makes about $10.5 million this year.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

So salary wise we could trade Turner for DeRozen right now. Or Sully. Or anyone really. Same goes for Gallinari.

Toronto is not trading Derozan. Unless it's for someone like Wiggins

That is completely untrue. He's been rumored to be available and he's going to be a FA after this year.

Well until we finalize the Lee trade we have around 7 mil to play with in making trades. Who wants to unload contracts of guys we'd be willing to take a chance on?

lol so they're just going to give him away for someone the caliber of Sullinger who has 1 year left before he needs to be paid or Turner who's an expiring himself? stop it.

not wiggins caliber but my guess is it would take a pretty special offer to get Derozan out of Toronto.  they're trying to win now with their moves in a weak East and probably see themselves as better with him than without him right now

Would you want him on the roster for $25 million a year?  Because that's what it's believed he's going to ask for next summer.

That's the inherent problem with him. For something along the lines of AB, KO, and a pick or two (which is a totally reasonable offer), I might be willing to take a chance on him. If DeRozen's traded, I think a lot of people will be shocked by how little the Raptors get for him.

I don't see any team having any trade value for sullinger.  We could always offer Turner KO and we have a ton of picks.

Are there any centers under contract to another team we could overpay for now?

How about this:

To Denver: K. Olynyk, J. Sullinger, A. Bradley, E. Turner, J. Young and 1st rd pick (Dallas)

To Boston: D. Gallinari and T. Lawson.

Would Denver go for that? With the extra $7m it works cap wise also.

So you're saying he won't be traded.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Am I the only person who doesn't care for Lawson? I'd rather keep on with Smart this year.
