Dekker.
I think sam dekker has the potential to be a chandlar parsons or gordon hayward but after watching the championship and some more videos of him, if started to miss, he really couldn't really contribute in any other way as a driver or defender.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Sam Dekker, Rashad Vaughn or Bobby Portis.

Dekker would have filled a need in the SF spot. Bobby Portis is a big with solid upside to become a 15-7 guy. Vaughn has plenty of upside and can shoot.

I was hoping for RHJ at the time, because I had never heard of Rozier and honestly didn't know who on earth he was.

But as soon as I heard the pick and did some research on him, I was thrilled with the pick.  Think he's going to be a great player, and I think a couple of years from now a lot of teams are going to regret passing up on him.

Terry Rozier wasn't on my radar going into the draft, but I trust Danny.  So I voted for our guy.

I really love RHJ's defense and his intensity. I honestly thought that smart, bradley, and him could've made up one of the grittiest backcourts in the league. But from an offensive standpoint, we needed a scorer and a shooter and RHJ isn't great at either of those and his development has not been great. That is mainly why I was ok with Rozier

Dekker for some reason gets me a little worried. Even though he is supposed to be a knockdown shooter, he only shot 33% from downtown and as we saw in the title game, if he cant make his shots it pretty takes out his whole entire game. He also isn't a great creator. Also the fact that he only averaged 1 assist a game with all of the great shooters on wisconsin worries me. I'm ok with Portis just I'm a little worried how his decent footwork is going to work out against better defenders in the post.

Watching the summer league game now.  He looks like the real deal.  He'll definately be a player in this league.

The thought of drafting him never crossed my mind, but Danny is looking pretty smart right now.

Rozier's D is NBA ready, that alone will give him plenty of playing time to make our back court nasty .

" Rozier is a fast as Acie Earl was slow!!"

Terry Rozier has been compared to Eric Bledsoe.  If that's the type of player we are getting from the #16 pick, I'm more than happy with that result!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
RHJ, Dekker, Portis, then Justin Anderson were my order at the time (I picked Portis because the first two weren't options).

I am learning to appreciate what Rozier does as a player and I hope he can continue to win me over, but all things being equal, he probably still wouldn't be my choice today (although he may have moved ahead of Portis and Anderson).

No question Rozier looks the part. He's got all of the intangibles to be worthy of a 16th pick and then some. It's pretty easy to see what they saw in the workouts. The fluidness, quickness, athleticism, great soft release, and of course the length on D. That Manute Bol like wingspan will make it tough on any guard.

Sky's the limit with this prospect. Has all the tools. Solid get at 16

We can summarize the last decade of the draft that way sadly.
After watching Rozier in SL, obviously this guy was under the radar from the media and Danny took opportunity of that.
The least you can say about this kid is that he surely has the most upside among the players remaining at #16.
If anybody still don't understand why Danny pick him, then it's hopeless.
